Daily Inspiration: Meet Manuela Beato

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manuela Beato.

Hi Manuela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started in the world of makeup in 2009 where I trained hundreds of girls as professional makeup artists. At that time, I had a complete makeup studio and a store in Santiago, D.R.

In 2017, I felt that I wanted to do something in which I could contribute more to people than just knowing how to put on makeup, I wanted to teach them things that were more useful for their professional life and I prepared myself as a professional trainer at INFOTEP (a government institution in my country). This same year I decided to close the two businesses and move to my hometown to start on this path. It was not until 2019 when I formally began to give some talks in companies about customer service, business etiquette, labor ethics, among others. With the pandemic in 2020, everything closed and after eight months without working, I decided to come to the USA in the midst of all this madness. At the end of five months, I decide to return and it is here that I work daily with almost all the public and private institutions of my country without rest.

As the year ended and with the desire to live here in the United States, I decided to leave everything and return. Here I am trying to position myself and make myself known in this great market as a speaker and business coach. I know I have a long way to go, but I am willing to go through it and do my best.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
During all these years, I have had many obstacles that have allowed me to grow and be stronger and stronger and decide to achieve my goals. The road here in the US is just beginning and I know that I will face many more, but I have the courage and courage to face them and I know that they will be part of my success story.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a degree in business administration, professional image consultant, business coach and lecturer.

Throughout my professional life, I have dedicated myself to teaching others to create and be their best version through my personal image classes and professional etiquette and protocol, customer service, work ethics, teamwork, human relations, public speaking, among others.

Working with professionals from all areas and companies from different economic activities have allowed me to have experience in all professional and work areas.

I am proud that at my young age to have shared my knowledge with thousands of people and more than 70 public and private companies in my country, Dominican Republic.

My hallmark is the personal experience in each area that I teach, connecting with the reality of those who listen to me and taking them to their personal terrain.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
To find a mentor, you must look for someone who inspires you, who has lived your process, who understands your language and connects with your goal.

It has helped me a lot to see and connect with the stories of other people in my area, although I have not had them directly as mentors, I understand that knowing their history and their processes can help you a lot. Find someone who is your role model and imitate him.
