Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Flindt.
Hi Mariana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I moved to Central Florida in 2019. I lived in South Florida prior to that where I worked as a nail technician and had my own nail place for 17 years. I had a big clientele. Through this profession, I met amazing people that I can call my friends. I am a passionate for all that involves health, nutrition, wellness, fitness and beauty. So in 2017, I decided I wanted to learn more and I enrolled in IIN which is the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and I got a certification as a Holistic Health Coach and I went for more, back to IIN for a specialization in Gut Health. My journey didn’t end there. In 2018 I studied to become a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist through ISSA. I’ve been in the Health and Beauty industry since 2003.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a pretty smooth road. Can’t say I have struggles or anything like that. All I know is when you really love what you do and you are sure of what your passion is, take any obstacles or bumps in the road to learn from them. And keep moving forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love everything I do and have studied.
As a Nail Technician there is not a lot to explain. I do manicures, pedicures, nail art (it let’s me be creative and use my artistic side) and waxing. And even though is basic and simple, seeing my clients happy and satisfied pushes me to be my best and up to date on the current trends.
Next, as a Holistic Health Coach and Fitness Trainer & Nutrition Specialist, I get to help people take control of their health and fitness through counseling, nutrition and exercise.
I truly love both professions and I’m always studying, learning and growing to give people the very best care I can!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My best advice is don’t start a career or a profession only for the money. Do it because you really love it. Even if you start as a side job until it grows. Because I can confidently say that there’s nothing more beautiful that work in what you really love. When you do what you really like and love, you forget you are working.
And if you have bumps in the road, learn to jump them and keep going. Focus on your dream!
