Daily Inspiration: Meet Marthe Decembre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marthe Decembre.

Hi Marthe, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My journey started in 2014 when I started my blog. During that time, I blogged about my life as a new mom, wife and entrepreneur. I had owned an online clothing boutique. In 2016 I decided to end my marriage. This was a marking in my transformation and life change. I was finally being true to myself and allowed myself to be me. For so long, I allowed people to control me and tell me what I should wear and what I can or can not say.

Fast forward to 2018! I published my first cookbook “it all started with a glass of wine” and in 2019, I married my high school bae and welcomed my third child. After having my third child, I noticed how my body really changed. Around that time, Nipsey Hussle just passed and I was watching his funeral online, I was really motivated to change how I ate moving forward. His mother truly inspired me to change my lifestyle. So I started my journey to plant-based and in 11 months, I lost 75 pounds. No workouts, just walks, no teas, or pills. I share my journey because I knew it could transform others lives. By sharing it, lives have changed, just like I changed mines. I took a step towards finding my happiness and with that, I found myself. One thing for certain I didn’t stop, I kept going no matter what life threw at me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth at all, it’s a roller coaster but I feel like we must ride it till we get to the finish line. My main struggle was having to start over again after my divorce. Raising two young children and working two jobs at the time. So staying focus to release my cook was hard.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m known for my recipes, I love to cook, I love a beautiful plate of food.
