Michelle’s passion for creativity was ignited in an influential art-focused home, where her father introduced her to photography and videography at a young age. This early exposure led her to pursue art and photography electives in high school, and later, she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, focusing on Visual Communications from the International Academy of Design in Tampa.
Michelle has always been drawn to the magic of weddings, captivated by the beauty of love stories. As the wedding industry expanded, Michelle began creating wedding content, focusing on capturing raw, authentic emotions and candid moments. What started as a personal passion has now blossomed into a full-fledged business, where Michelle stands out by going beyond typical shot lists and immersing herself in the day to capture unplanned, meaningful moments. She’s so invested in her clients and their emotions that she often finds herself moved to tears herself, from the behind-the-scenes preparations all the way to the altar. By day, she’s a wedding content creator, but by night, she’s a true documentary filmmaker at heart.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve encountered in the wedding content creation industry is its relatively new niche status. Many brides are not yet familiar with what wedding content creation entails, and there can be misconceptions that it’s only for high-end, luxury weddings. In reality, wedding content creation is for any bride who wants to document and share her special day in a unique and authentic way.
Another significant challenge is bridging the gap between wedding content creators and the established veterans of the wedding industry. Traditional photographers and videographers have long dominated the space, and now, as wedding content creation grows, we’re working to find a harmonious balance. It’s about making space at the altar for this new form of storytelling and ensuring that we complement rather than compete with the existing services.
