Daily Inspiration: Meet Michelle Threatt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Threatt

Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
May 10th, 2010 @12:09 p.m. I was physically attacked by an inmate and that attacked pushed me to the year 2017 to jump out on faith and follow my dreams to become a business owner. Following my dream to become a business owner birthed the village in 2020 during the pandemic where we began to feed children and adults for free. Doing these community feedings brought purpose into my life and I became more community involved and also ran for City Commissioner for my hometown where I was defeated by 112 votes. I may have lost the election, but I didn’t lose because the experience and the knowledge were priceless.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road at all. What I have learned on this journey is that if it comes easy, you’re not working hard enough. It has been struggles at times financially, mentally and physically because not only am I an entrepreneur, but I’m also a community leader, board member, mom, grandmother, sister, friend and so much more. But when you’re walking in your purpose you have to learn how to manage the many hats that you wear and know how to manage the gifts that you have. If you keep moving and don’t give up I promise you it will work out no matter what it may look like.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
One of my greatest passions and purpose is being an Inspirational Speaker. I love talking to people, I love meeting new people and if I only change one person’s outlook on life I’ve done my job. I truly believe that I was created to inspire others. What sets me apart from others is that one I have what I call crazy, unshakeable faith because God can not lie! I don’t listen or have to confirm anything with naysayers because I truly believe that with God that even the impossible is possible, you just have to believe it not the naysayers.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when my grandmother Lizzie Ware Seals and I would go to bed, and she would pray and speak over my life. She would tell me that I was going to be somebody and to never give up. I was told that as a baby she would rub and mold my head as she prayed for me and spoke over my life. That was priceless and thing is my grandmother has been deceased now for over 38 years and I’m still living off of her prayers and that is amazing!
