Daily Inspiration: Meet Paola Acevedo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paola Acevedo.

Hi Paola, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a single and when this pandemic started, I wanted to do something that gave me joy and purpose. I love to serve people, and I am good at keeping deadlines and completing tasks. So I figured I would start a business to accommodate just that. I thought of what is something that busy moms, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and families need help with? And I wrote a list of what those things could be for bother personal and business. Then I thinking of a name was the hard lol, the one thing that kept resonating with me was the word family. I take pride in cultivating relationships with all my clients, and due to the fact that I am in their lives, personal space, and business, we do become a family. So with that being said The Family Planner was born!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been an easy ride. I still work my corporate job Monday through Friday 9-5. I have learned to manage my time very well, thankfully. Finding clients in the beginning was scary for me, I am normally a shy person, so having to put my out there was different for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So my official title is Lifestyle Assistant, I specialize in organizing, declutter, packing for big moves and completing home-based tasks; as well as virtual assistant for small businesses and entrepreneurs, everything from email management, ordering supplies, and items, to managing invoices planning events, and also completing tasks per request.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love how it’s for everyone, for families, young adults, and elderly. It is full of local events that can busy your weekend, and also a melting pot of culture. What I dislike is probably the amount of tourists and traffic we get due to it being a destination spot.
