Today we’d like to introduce you to Payton Patrick
Hi Payton, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got my start in the modeling world about two years ago when I was just freshly 20 years old. It was a pivotal time in my life. I had just left a five-year-long abusive relationship, and honestly, I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to do with my future. I was emotionally drained, uncertain, and still healing from the scars of my past.
In the midst of all of this, I was unexpectedly recruited by a management company that saw potential in me. At first, I was unsure whether I was ready for such a big step, but I decided to give it a shot. Looking back, I’m grateful that I took that chance because, over the next two years, I was able to discover a deep passion for both modeling and acting. Although the management group didn’t always have my best interests at heart and there were certainly some bumps along the way, the experience gave me invaluable opportunities to network and make connections that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
Despite the challenges, these two years have been full of growth and learning. I’ve met some incredible people, developed my craft, and learned a lot about the entertainment industry. I’m still not completely sure where this journey will take me, but I feel a sense of excitement and curiosity about what the future holds. There are still a lot of unknowns, and the path ahead isn’t always clear, but I’m open to whatever comes next.
What has grounded me more than anything recently, however, is the birth of my son. He arrived prematurely, three months early, and has been in the NICU ever since. It has been one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. Watching him fight every day has shifted my perspective on what truly matters. As much as I’m still figuring out my career, I now know that the most important thing is to be present for him and to build a future that’s stable, loving, and full of possibilities.
Every day brings its own set of hurdles, but I’m optimistic about what lies ahead, both for me, for my son, and the family I’m building. My journey, though uncertain, feels like it’s just beginning, and I’m ready to embrace whatever comes next with hope and determination.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
To be honest, the journey hasn’t always been easy. I’ve faced my share of struggles, including battling mental health issues, grappling with substance abuse, and being taken advantage of by people I trusted. But looking back, I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. They’ve shaped who I am today and taught me invaluable lessons that have brought me to where I am now
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a model and aspiring actress, proudly known for being a petite model. At 4 foot 11, I’m determined to be a trailblazer for petite women in this industry. While my height certainly sets me apart in both positive and challenging ways, it has never stopped me from pushing forward. I’ve faced my share of rejection, with many telling me ‘no’ simply because I’m too petite, but I believe that the growing movement of body positivity is paving the way for real change. We are redefining beauty standards, and I’m excited to be part of that shift.
I’m incredibly proud of the strides I’ve made so far. From walking in runway shows and participating in a petite pageant, to modeling for major brands like Calvin Klein, I’ve had opportunities that continue to shape my journey. Not only have I been a part of a management group, but I’ve also signed with an agency, opening even more doors for my future. Each step forward is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and passion I bring to this industry—and I’m just getting started.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Honestly, just start. Figure out your brand, understand why you want to do it, and then go for it. If it’s something you’re passionate about and it brings you joy, do it. If you believe it can help you make a difference in the world, do it. Do it when you’re happy, do it when you’re sad, do it when you’re angry, do it when you’re unmotivated—just do it. The key is to take that first step and keep going, no matter how you feel. It’s about pushing through and staying committed to your vision.
