Daily Inspiration: Meet RODOLFO OLMOS

Today we’d like to introduce you to RODOLFO OLMOS

Hi RODOLFO, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raise in Bogota, Colombia, came from a family of dentists. Move to Orlando in 1998 with a very specific objective serve the community and provide every patient with a beautiful healthy smile.
Enrolled in the renown international program at NYU and graduated in 2003 as a General Dentist. Came back to Orlando and started multiple dental offices with the purpose of accessibility, affordability and proper communication with the community.
I joined Webster University and obtain a MBA and continue my studies in a Master in Healthcare Management..
I have been able to work with hundreds of people currently employing more than 100 dental professionals from administrators, dental, assistants, hygienist and both general and specialty dentists. In this past 20 years we have been able to treat more than 100,000 patients ranging from 1 year olds to 100.
I currently served as the Scientific Chairman of the Florida Dental association and n Alternative House of Delegates for the American Dental Association.
Currently I live in Valencia Spain with my wife and my 11 year old son.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When you do what you love you don’t struggle. You may fall, but with the conviction of learning and getting better you stand and keep walking. People that have decided to walk with me have been the main engine to continue in this journey.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My passion , I just simply love what I do. We as humans have endless capabilities. I think the most difficult part is been able to identify what moves you, your passion, once that’s clear the road becomes more visible and the real journey starts.
As a dentist we tend to have obsessive/compulsive personality. I have been able to run two marathons, become a community dentist in Nemours Children Hospital, help organize a the biggest and most important Dental Meeting in Florida, Help with Mission of Mercy (a Free dental event that serves those who can not afford dental services) and play the Cello. Again you can do whatever you want, you just need to find that will and put the work.
I am just a regular person but a very committed one.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My parents both extremely loving and supportive. They tough me ethics, respect, responsibility and hard work
My wife she is definitely the oil that tunes the engine.
My son my motivation and responsibility.
My staff hundreds and hundreds of people that help me every day help our patients.
My patients they remind me every day the importance of what I do and keep me getting better and better.
