Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Vega.
Hi Sean, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I remember I was receiving unemployment during Obama’s last term. My benefits were depleted, and I began contemplating enrollment in the marines. My best friend screamed at me and said, “Are you stupid?! You’re way too talented to give up so easily?!” After an hour of back and forth, I was convinced to seek other alternatives. At that moment, I realized that I would have to be the change if I wanted to see a difference. Our past has a lot to do with who we are. But we’re ultimately responsible for who we become. I had to look all my childhood traumas in the eye and embrace them. Figure out exactly why I was living in survival mode for so long. I started reading more and inquiring about budgeting. I sought mentorship and therapy for guidance. I began investing in classes that would increase my economic literacy. It taught me that our key asset as individuals is our resources. Ten years of consistent networking has kept me afloat during the height of the pandemic. The less resourceful we are, the less freedom we have. The less freedom we have, the further we are from who God intended us to be. We must not work on our finances until we’ve thoroughly worked on ourselves. A foundation with no structure will falter every time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. In the beginning, it was highly uncomfortable. You’re learning to become someone you’ve never been before. A lot of doubt and uncertainty crosses your mind through the whole process. But my will to be successful is much stronger than my fear of failing. As fathers and providers, it is our duty to make sure we set the path for future generations to come.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a musician and entrepreneur. I specialize in making people believe in themselves. Community activist. Most proud of my ability to manifest, plan and execute goals. I am consistently working to be the bridge between the corporate world and urban communities. One of my key attributes is transparency. Vocalizing past & current transgressions has increased my following tremendously. I feel humility is the greatest gift that allows others to connect with me genuinely.
What are your plans for the future?
There are a few things I’m working on that I’d rather not disclose at this point and time, but I will say that I’m broadening my knowledge of property and real estate. I am doubling down on stocks and investments.
