Daily Inspiration: Meet Sina Jacobsen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sina Jacobsen.

Sina Jacobsen

Hi Sina, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a professional Athlete in Wakeboarding in street and cable from Germany. Last year, I moved to the USA.

Women content in social media or magazines has been rare but I saw all these talented girls behind the boat and on the cable.

So, I created the Copycats Club for Women in Wakeboarding four years ago. A place for inspiration, to push each other, and to be stronger together.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Wakeboarding is still a new sport and Women in Wakeboarding is growing. So, building up the Copycats club, people ask me a lot why I put so much energy into it. I just see potential in Wakeboarding and passion. It gives people something back like in Surfing or Snowboarding. Everyone loves the support I give to the community.

But definitely, financial support from the scene is rare. Men still getting better paid. To keep the project Copycats Club alive, I’m freelancing in Graphic Design. I would love to give 100 to the Copycats Club maybe soon someone wants to Sponsor the Copycats Club. I love that I can be creative on the water and off the water.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I graduated in art and have my Bachelor of Arts in Sports Economics. Art and Sport have been always big parts of my life. Snowboarding was my daily business until I was 18 years old and then wakeboarding came into my life. Since day one I’m on the water as much as possible.

I created Women’s Wakeboarding Movies like Sewer Cats, Novy, and more. For Copycats Club, I’m designing my clothing line from scratch and creating a print magazine. (www.copycatsclub.fun). As a graphic designer, I love being diverse, with board graphics, logo design, marketing, and social media design.

I love working with people and creating a concept for their own company.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grow up in a little town in Bavaria, Germany.

I started Skiing when I was 5 years old and never stopped trying out different kinds of sports until I found wakeboarding and snowboarding. Being creative is my come-down moment next to being outside in the wild.
