Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie Ferguson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Ferguson

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Stephanie, a NYC native from the Bronx who moved to Florida with nothing but my remaining teacher salary and a hunger to do something amazing, leaving the classroom to take on a bigger world. As an educator, curating events has always been something that brought me excitement and joy because, as people, we all value memories that are life-changing and impactful. I loved journaling and writing ideas down, so I wrote out an event idea with no clue of how it would materialize. I’ve been into content creation for quite some time, and I finally took a bet on myself and created.

I came to Orlando and checked out a few networking events, but they were more mixers for socializing and didn’t really lead to other opportunities. I decided to create my own event. The problem was, I didn’t know anyone out there to really help me take it to the next level. I knew posting content could get me far, so I started posting. I didn’t know what would come from it, but I showed up every day, connecting with brands and creators like myself.

My first event was called the Next Level Creator Networking Event, where I was able to connect creators to brand deal opportunities. People need solutions; they need help; they need to be connected to opportunities that can pivot their lives. So many times, we create events for the thrill and the numbers but with no real impact.

My goal is to create spaces for creators that get the wheels turning, providing resources, fun, and connections. Right now, I focus on content, and I will be pivoting to more “Day in the Life” content to showcase my process as an event curator.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the bumps and challenges have made the journey even more rewarding. Moving to Florida with just my teacher salary and a dream was both exciting and nerve-wracking. The hardest part was definitely not knowing anyone when I first arrived. I didn’t have a network or any connections to help me get started, which made things feel a bit isolating. I had to figure everything out on my own, from finding venues to connecting with creators and brands.

Another struggle was balancing the creative side of content creation with the business side of curating events. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that people don’t see—dealing with logistics, planning, and all the little details that go into putting an event together. It was overwhelming at times, especially as I was still learning the ropes.

And of course, there was the uncertainty. I didn’t know if my idea would actually take off or if people would show up to the first event. It took a lot of persistence and a belief in myself, even when things felt tough. But as I kept showing up every day, connecting with others, and posting content, it slowly started to pay off.

While the road has been full of challenges, each struggle has taught me valuable lessons and pushed me closer to my goal. Every setback has just been a step forward, and I’m grateful for the growth that’s come with it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Thank you for asking! I specialize in curating events, with a strong focus on connecting creators with opportunities that can genuinely pivot their lives. I’m most known for creating spaces where people can not only network but actually walk away with real solutions, resources, and actionable connections.

As a former educator, I’ve always had a passion for creating environments that encourage growth and impact. I took that same approach to event planning. It’s not just about throwing a fun event for the numbers—it’s about creating something meaningful, where people can walk away feeling like they’ve taken a step toward something bigger, whether it’s a new collaboration, brand deal, or simply the inspiration to keep pushing toward their goals.

I’m most proud of my first event, the Next Level Creator Networking Event. It’s where everything started for me. I was able to bring creators together, connect them with brand deal opportunities, and watch relationships form that continue to grow. That sense of impact—seeing people make real connections that change their trajectory is what keeps me going.

What really sets me apart is the combination of my background in education and content creation. I understand the value of creating spaces that not only entertain but also educate and empower. I make sure every event I host is intentional, with a focus on adding value. I want creators to leave my events with not just good memories, but with tangible opportunities and knowledge they can use to elevate their work.

I’m also deeply invested in showcasing my process. In the future, I plan to do more Day in the Life content, giving others a behind-the-scenes look at the event curation process. I believe in being transparent about the hard work it takes to make something impactful, and I want to inspire other creators to take that leap and bet on themselves the way I did.

That’s what I do—create spaces that matter and make sure creators have the tools they need to take their careers to the next level.

Any big plans?
Looking ahead, I’m really excited about expanding my reach and continuing to create impactful events for creators. My big focus for the future is to take my event curation to the next level by offering even more resources, educational opportunities, and connections for creators in all stages of their journey. I want to curate events that not only give people a platform but also equip them with the tools they need to build sustainable careers.

In terms of content, I’m planning to pivot into more Day in the Life content to showcase my process as an event curator. I believe this behind-the-scenes look will help others understand what goes into creating something from scratch and maybe inspire other creators who are considering taking the leap. It’s all about showing people that it’s possible to turn a passion into a meaningful, impactful career, and I want to share that journey with others.

I’m also looking forward to collaborating with more brands, creators, and like-minded people who share my vision. I’m really passionate about making real connections, so expanding my network and providing even more opportunities for collaboration is a key goal of mine.

Ultimately, I’m planning on creating a more consistent presence in the content creation space while continuing to push the boundaries of what I can do as an event curator. I’m excited about the growth ahead and the new doors that will open as I continue to show up and take chances on myself.

Big changes are definitely in the works! I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.
