Daily Inspiration: Meet Taylor Tefft

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Tefft.

Hi Taylor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I opened One Call Logistics back in 2018 from my house in New Smyrna Beach. I had no background in logistics and really had no idea where to start let alone how to
run a business. I sat at my house for a long time hoping my phone would ring for business but it never did and I quickly realized if I don’t do something I’m going to run out of money, fast.
6 months into the business i was just hanging on by a thread and had to pick up a night shift job at a hotel to make ends meet. I would work 7pm-7am, come home and sleep for a few hrs
and then work my business. A few weeks later its like it all clicked.. literally. I told myself i was not working night shift anymore and would figure out how to make it work. I watched a lot of videos after Googling “how to build a business” and then found some really awesome videos online with Grant Cardone. Within 2 weeks I was taking massive action and figuring things out. Fast forward 7 years later, here we are. One Call Logistics is one of the nation’s leading transportation brokerages specializes in recreational vehicle transport, disaster
relief transport solutions, ATV transportation and much more. We have helped tens of thousands of clients and are committed to going the extra mile. We have grown from just an owner operator style business to over 15 employees here in the US and a Team in Guatemala and look forward to our continued growth.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve learned many lessons along the way and I continue to learn everyday. I think one of the main things in business is being able to adapt and overcome. When a problem arises you have to find a solution..
Looking back now, it has definitely been a bumpy ride however the reward is worth it. Anytime I am thinking negatively or were in a rough spot business wise i think its important to
remember why you’re doing this.. We have many employees who walked into a sales role and now have completely changed their life in many ways which is really the best feeling and
keeps me going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
One Call Logistics can move just about anything. From tiny homes, to RV’s, to automobiles we have a dedicated team that arranges deliveries fast and hassle free.
We really strive during hurricanes, wildfires and other natural disasters. Our quick turnaround times, attention to detail and strong carrier base helps us stand out when customers are needing
assets moved quickly during or after a catastrophe. We are a niche 3PL brokerage firm focused on the safe, insured, and reliable transport of large or complex assets across the U.S. Whether you’re a private owner needing a one-off move or a dealer/business coordinating dozens of units, we are structured to offer custom solutions with door-to-door service.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Many things make me happy like spending time with my family(especially my wife and kids), traveling to our house in Cudjoe Key, and traveling all over the world!
When I am not in the office arranging loads you can catch me on an airplane finding our next cool travel location. I also enjoy being outdoors.. Boating, fishing, riding ATVS and hanging
in the pool with my kids.
