Today we’d like to introduce you to Wagner Krohling.
Hi Wagner, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Princess Flock started with a simple idea: reconnect people with the food they eat and bring back the relationship between farmers and families.
My name is Wagner Krohling. I immigrated to the United States in 2018 after spending more than 20 years working in sales and marketing for global companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Xerox, and Nestlé in Latin America. Although I came from a corporate background, I always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating something meaningful.
During the pandemic in 2020, I saw a growing movement among consumers looking for healthier, more transparent, and locally produced food. People were asking important questions: Where does my food come from? Who produces it? How are the animals treated? Can I support a local family instead of a large corporation?
That is when Princess Flock was born in Kissimmee, Florida, just minutes from Walt Disney World.
We started with only 12 laying hens on a small rented property. From the beginning, our goal was not simply to produce eggs, but to create an experience: fresh eggs from a local farm where customers could know their farmer, understand our practices, and feel connected to the land.
Over time, we grew our flock and our community. Today, Princess Flock is a pasture-raised egg farm serving families throughout Central Florida, offering farm-fresh eggs through local pickup, delivery, and subscription programs.
Our mission is simple: bring better food to families while strengthening our local food system.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building a farm from scratch has been one of the most rewarding challenges of my life, but it has certainly not been easy.
Coming from a corporate environment, I had to learn a completely new world: animal care, pasture management, weather challenges, farm operations, regulations, and the daily responsibilities of agriculture.
Unlike many businesses where you can close your doors at the end of the day, animals depend on you every single day. Rain, heat, storms, and unexpected challenges are part of farming.
One of the biggest lessons has been understanding that farming is not only about production — it is about relationships. A successful local farm depends on trust. Customers want transparency. They want to see where their food comes from and know the person behind the product.
Another challenge for small farms is competing with large-scale food systems. Industrial agriculture can produce food at enormous volumes, but small farms offer something different: freshness, connection, accountability, and a direct relationship between producer and consumer.
Every customer who chooses Princess Flock is helping create a more resilient local food system. Their purchase supports local jobs, local services, and keeps more dollars circulating within our own community.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Princess Flock specializes in premium pasture-raised farm-fresh eggs produced with a focus on animal welfare, sustainability, and the farm-to-table experience.
Our customers are not just buying eggs — they are buying a connection.
They know who raises their hens, where their eggs come from, and the values behind the farm. This is the essence of the “know your farmer” movement that is growing across the country.
Our hens spend time outdoors on pasture, allowing them to express natural behaviors while contributing to a healthier ecosystem. We believe farming should work together with nature, not against it.
We incorporate regenerative concepts into our operation by focusing on soil health, responsible land management, and creating a circular relationship where resources are reused whenever possible. For example, chicken manure, which is naturally produced by the flock, becomes a valuable soil amendment for gardens and plants instead of becoming waste.
This is the idea behind a circular economy: turning what was once considered a byproduct into a resource that benefits another part of the community.
One of the things customers love most about Princess Flock is our unique Multi-Breed Patchwork Flock. We raise different breeds of chickens, creating beautiful flats of eggs with natural variations in colors and sizes. Each carton tells a story that is very different from a standard grocery store egg carton.
What makes us most proud is seeing families return every week because they trust our product. Many customers tell us that they can taste and feel the difference between farm-fresh eggs and conventional eggs.
We are not just selling eggs — we are helping families make a healthier choice while supporting local agriculture.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing the connection we have created between our farm and our customers.
There is something very special about a family enjoying eggs from hens that we personally care for every day. When customers visit the farm, receive their delivery, or send us a message saying their family loves our eggs, it reminds me why we started.
I also enjoy knowing that Princess Flock is part of a larger movement toward better food systems.
The slow food movement, farm-to-table philosophy, and local agriculture movement are all about bringing quality, responsibility, and human connection back to food.
Every time someone chooses a local farm instead of a mass-produced alternative, they are making an impact. They are supporting a small business, reducing the distance food travels, encouraging sustainable practices, and helping create a stronger local economy.
For me, farming is not only about producing eggs. It is about building something meaningful that benefits people, animals, and the environment.
