We recently had the chance to connect with Ernest Ayayo and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ernest, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What battle are you avoiding?
I am currently battling my self-improvement journey. I struggle with a CHF (a form of heart failure) and depression. It’s been effecting my life for quite some time. Despite the adversities, I managed to get my comeback and recover a good amount. Most people don’t notice this funny enough. The purpose of my content back then was to bring laughs and give people a break from normal life. But the next chapter of my brand is to focus on self-improvement and give positive energy. Despite the difficulty of life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi I am Ernest Ayayo, also known as 3rn3stTV. I am a Gaming/Lifestyle creator from Orlando,Florida. My socials showcase highlights of my daily life and gaming escapades. The next stage of my content creator journey will focus on Zero to Hero Journey. I am working on uploading a weekly vlog focused on physical, mental, and social fitness which I hope inspires others in the future. Alongside more gaming and hobby content!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My buddy Pokémon Artificer (on Instagram) is one of the few people who could see me clearly. We both have similar interests in pop culture and cosplay and have had a long friendship journey. He understands my struggles and offers advice that reveals stuff about me I never knew. For example, he helped me discover my people pleasing nature and inspired me to pursue my own interests. So I thank my friend for his support.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
My struggle with Heart failure and depression induces a lot of suffering…but also a lot of lessons. It taught me mindfulness and gratitude. Being in an emergency room for months, helped spark the fire to be more proactive in life. This helped me finish college and get my license in my therapy job. Success can teach gratitude as well but suffering helps you grow the most and become much more….
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say I value…belonging. They know I look to be included and accepted wherever I go.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
The old me never could do such I thing, People Pleasing me could not see a point to putting maximum effort if there was no prize or recognition. As I grew older, I realize putting everything into anything you do is worth way more than recognition. The effort I put is proof to myself that I did my best and did something great!! If you do something might as well be the best at it. No matter what others think and as long as it’s for a positive effect.
