Today we’d like to introduce you to Janae & Leandro PocketPro Studio LLC.
Hi Janae & Leandro, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since the recent launch of PocketPro, we are living as digital nomads. We have sold all of our belongings except what can fit in our car and are completing a remote year in order to build brand awareness and establish new clients and connections all over the world. We can’t wait to return to our home in Orlando which is where it all first began. However, it took quite some time to get to where we are today. As the story goes, the creation of PocketPro is a mash up of two different paths that aligned, both professionally and personally. For me, I never imagined being a business owner; I never thought I had a passion for something that I could translate into a tangible business idea.
On the other hand, Leandro has always wanted to own his own business and left the corporate world six years ago to embark on following his dream of starting his own Media Agency. Leandro and I have been dating for five years now and over the course of that time I saw firsthand that it was possible to create a business of your own and truly take control of your destiny, as cliché as it sounds, all you have to do is believe in yourself and not give up. I witnessed this through the success of Leandro’s company Majestic Media Group (MMG), and saw how one small leap of faith could truly change your life. Leandro was traveling all over the country and filming amazing content for numerous businesses types. I had made an exciting career change and was establishing myself at a new company, we both thought that 2020 was going to be our year, a year where MMG would really take off and where I could grow professionally.
However, 2020 was not the year that anyone expected, and with the COVID-19 Pandemic nearly halting all travel and negatively impacting businesses financially, this completely changed the trajectory of both of our careers. The ability to travel was an essential part of Leandro’s company and without it he could not service clients. We had to think of a way to still generate income, without the means to travel and without businesses having the budget they once did. Leandro began assisting clients virtually, by creating customized shot lists and teaching clients how they can capture content from their own phones. This client captured footage would in turn be edited and then sent back as a completed project. Attempting to switch gears with a new business model proved very difficult, as there wasn’t a set structure or process in place. This was when the light bulb went off and we realized that my attention to detail, organization, and project management skills paired perfectly with his creativity, sales ability, and content creation, We discovered that between the two of us we really had a recipe for success to actually launch a new platform that would be utilized during COVID and after, thus PocketPro was born.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been bumps along the way. When initially implementing this new service, we knew there was a demand but we didn’t have the proper system in place to properly service the clients. This was difficult because we had people who were interested in the product, but we did not have the financial capacity or infrastructure to meet client demands. We did not have a system built out or a full team in place to complete the workload. This caused us to lose out on a lot of money. Owning a business during COVID19 was a struggle in itself, because although many businesses were now realizing the importance of digital marketing, they still had numerous financial restraints and typically the marketing budget is the first to go.

PocketPro Studio LLC is a video editing service platform that transforms your existing and future content into marketing magic. We then provide you with a custom shot list for you to capture, all from your phone. Our platform is easy to use, and you can upload your files directly to our site where we compile the content into a finished project. What we are most proud of is that we are able to help all businesses no matter the size or budget, to create great content that they can be proud to share. We are able to do this by leveraging one small tool that everyone has, their cell phone!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson we have learned is to be flexible and adapt. It’s important to remember that the road to success isn’t easy and you are always learning.
