Exploring Life & Business with Abriah Williams of Ladybribraids

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abriah Williams

Hi Abriah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
So I’ve always known how to braid as a child, I used to braid my bratz doll heads and play in my mom hair. I would always say when I grew up I wanted to own my own hair salon, as I started getting into my teen years I would do my friends hair and my work started getting noticed by others. I never took doing hair seriously so I wouldn’t take any clients but part of that was fear. A couple years passed by and I conceived my daughter ‘Alaniyah’ I was a stay at home mom but wanted to make some money with my free time so I decided to take on braiding. Starting braiding has been one of my greatest accomplishments, there’s many ups and downs, times where I just wanted to give up on my business because of not having as many clients as I thought I would have but I constantly remind myself of how gifted I am and that I will have my own hair salon sooner than later and I give all thanks to God.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, having my own business has not been smooth. When I first started out I would be booked like everyday but as my work grew better my prices upped which caused me to loose as much clientele that I had when prices were cheaper.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Ladybribraids specializes in braids, I am known for my boho Knotless braids. I also service feedin braids, Fulani braids, invisible Locs, and Knotless braids. I believe what sets me apart from other people is the fact that I care about my clients and I put pride into my work.
