Aimad, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Having grown up in Africa, I dreamed of coming to America since the age of four. My father moved to America, which was a miracle. After he left, I didn’t know if I’d ever see him again. Not only did this provide me with the motivation I needed to keep pushing for my goals, it also helped me understand that to accomplish my visions, I must believe in making the impossible possible. Twelve years later, the dream finally came true. I moved to America at the age of 16. Ever since then, I discovered just how limitless we, as humans, are. This has led me on a journey to bring people a constant reminder to keep going and to never give up.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While growing up I had a couple of incidents that have had significant impacts on me, getting ill at the age of 5, which resulted in me being paralyzed for months. Also at age 7, I couldn’t see from my left eye and had to have a patch on for a year, and moving forward to the age of 14, I had a memory loss for about 12 hrs. Being able to scale through after all this has been one huge motivation for me, which I now apply to both my business and life in general. It has helped me believe no obstacle is big enough to weigh anyone down as long as you are ready to keep striving.

We are world changers. We are believers in peace, love, and acceptance for all. We believe unity begins with the understanding and recognition that we are all the same. Regardless of race, religion, or culture, we all bleed the same.
Humnpeace was founded on the tenets of peace, love, and kindness. As an interracial couple, we were constantly told how our relationship was not going to make it based on our cultural differences. But, over five years later, we are still together and still thriving, making waves in the fashion industry as a brand that promotes unity, acceptance, and diversity. Humnpeace emphasizes this mission in its designs, creating clothing that allows you to express to the world who you are and what you believe.
Our mission is simple: to bring all human beings together by promoting peace and love and embracing every beautiful skin color. While we may not be able to change the world on our own, we strive to bring awareness to the very prevalent issues of racism and racially-motivated violence happening not only in the United States but all around the world.
As U.S. immigrants, one of us from Canada and the other from Morocco, we still feel tensions based on religious and cultural differences. As an interracial couple, we often receive comments discouraging our relationship. But this does not mean we have to succumb to outside opinion. Rather, we chose to grow. We chose to launch a brand that promotes unity and encourages a world where people feel safe, welcomed, and accepted for who they are.
