Exploring Life & Business with Alejandra Garcia-Chica of Luna Flora Design & My Wedding Diary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandra Garcia-Chica.

Hi Alejandra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My name is Alejandra Fowler used to be Garcia-Chica, yes, it’s a whole last name which I miss and people thought was weird growing up… I grew up in beautiful central Florida specifically Deltona, I absolutely love Florida, it’s home to me and I will never get tired of that sunshine. I am proudly the daughter of first-generation Colombian immigrants and I love my Colombian heritage. Growing up I always thought I would go into healthcare doing activities and joining things that helped me set up for that track, of wanting to become a medical examiner but as I finished my first semester in college, I found out I liked business better. I’ve always had a sense of entrepreneurship within me and have tried to start several business but they didn’t work out and I realized they weren’t in the right niche for me. I graduated last year in 2022 from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s in marketing and of course, I couldn’t leave my roots in healthcare behind so I minored in health administration. I got married in May of 2022 to my high school sweetheart and something I knew I loved already really started to speak to me. I had always wanted to be in the wedding industry and going through my own wedding I made the decision to start.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has never been smooth from changing my major to failing with some business ideas I have never given up and will continue to pursue my dream of having a successful business.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have created a sort of keepsake for brides called My wedding Diary. a book that helps you keep the details and go through the process of planning your wedding but it’s also beautifully designed with a hardcover, perfect to keep in your bookcase or your wedding trunk and look through or to show through the rest of your life. Like the saying in the back of the book says ”keep the little details forever”. My book are sold on Ammazon.com and I even have my own website you can pre-order on. Several themes are available: Rustic, Boho, celestial, Gothic, Holiday, and Classic. Apart from my books I also do wedding/content creation for central Florida. Content creation is the biggest trend right now for wedding! When I got married, I saw how many candid behind-the-scenes photos I missed. All the interactions and small moments I wished I caught on camera, but couldn’t do because of time and wanting to be focused on my event. Content creation at an event is for someone who likes to capture all the small and big moments of your event but also be fully present. You may have a photographer and videographer at your event capturing beautiful moments and I don’t replace them but I capture all the candid raw moments of your event so you can relive it the next day. Wedding pictures can take weeks or months to get back but with wedding content creation you get it within 24 hours of service.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can always work with me by sending me an email to book or with any questions they have. Support me through my socials. I do giveaways on my page for content creation and for my book, I am always looking for wedding influencers to work with and share my books with!

Pricing:

  • Wedding Diary is $29.99
