Exploring Life & Business with Alexandra Brito And Sabrina Geyer of CHILDREN’S PLANET

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Brito And Sabrina Geyer

Hi Alexandra Brito and, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The idea for our business came about when we realized that the young kids in our family had trouble finding a place to celebrate their birthdays. I (Alexandra) have experience working with children in summer camps, and that’s when the idea came to life. I invited my sister-in-law to join me as a partner, and she immediately jumped on board since she’s a mom of both a toddler and a teenager. Together, we began this journey.
We needed a location, so we worked with a realtor, and that’s how we met one of our first angels who believed in us and our vision. We visited many places until we finally found the one that fit the size, area, and budget we were looking for. But that’s when the real work began – refining our business plan and getting things into motion. We waited for a few months, and on March 11, 2024, we got the keys to the space.
The following 10 months were intense, filled with construction and renovation to transform the space into what it is today. That’s when our second angel came in – our designer, who understood our vision and brought it to life. There were many challenges along the way. The city kept changing codes, adding new requirements, and coordinating the timing so our playground, which came from the UK, arrived at the same time as our inspections were tough. But we pushed through all of that.
After 10 long months, we decided to do a soft opening on January 20, 2025. The reception from the community has been beyond what we expected. People were waiting for us to finally open our doors, and today, it’s a reality. We are living our dream.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest struggles we’ve faced has been dealing with permits and navigating through all the requirements from the county and city. It felt like every step we took, there was another layer of bureaucracy to deal with. The process was definitely more challenging than we expected, but we pushed through, and each hurdle made us stronger and more determined to succeed

We’ve been impressed with CHILDREN’S PLANET, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Orlando is how much it has grown over the years. When I was growing up, it felt like a small town, but now it’s amazing to see how it’s transformed into such a vibrant, bustling city. I really love living here and watching it evolve into a place full of opportunity and diversity.

As for what I like least, I’d definitely have to say the traffic! It’s one of the challenges that comes with growth, but it’s still something I wish we didn’t have to deal with as much. Haha!
