Exploring Life & Business with Alexandra Watkins of Bay Area Notary and Legal Services, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Watkins.

Hi Alexandra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began in January 2020, just one year after graduating from law school. Entering the legal field at that time was incredibly challenging. Despite numerous rejections for traditional law firm roles, including positions as a paralegal and legal assistant, I remained committed to my goal.

With each setback, I leaned deeper into resilience and refused to view my journey as a failure. I took the bar exam multiple times, often earning scores just shy of passing. During that period of persistence and self-reflection, I chose to pivot—building a business from the ground up that aligned with my strengths and passion for service.

Over the next two to three years, I worked as a notary signing agent with ServiceLink, which became a foundational experience in my transition. That role helped me gain clarity about where I truly wanted to focus my efforts. Eventually, I found my niche in Family Law Mediation and Estate Planning Document Preparation.

Today, I own and operate a veteran- and woman-owned business proudly serving clients across Central Florida. While I occasionally handle loan signing packages, my primary work centers on helping families navigate important life transitions through mediation and comprehensive estate planning support. While I do not offer legal advice or opinions, I guide clients toward the right legal resources and professional colleagues when needed.

This business is more than just a career—it’s a calling that combines legal knowledge, empathy, and integrity to serve the diverse needs of my community

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been far from easy—full of bumps and unexpected detours—but I always find my way back, thanks to the unwavering support of my family and children. My spirituality has also been a guiding force, giving me strength, clarity, and perseverance in the most difficult times.

This business isn’t just about legal documents—it’s about helping people through life’s transitions with grace, understanding, and integrity. It’s a calling, and I’m grateful to live it every day.

We’ve been impressed with Bay Area Notary and Legal Services, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in family law mediation and estate planning document preparation. I am most proud of having built my business from the ground up, guided by hard work, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping families. I approach my work with humility and a down-to-earth professionalism, rooted in the values I was raised with. My parents instilled in me the belief that family is what you have in the end, and that the best things in life are truly free. Those lessons have shaped who I am today and keep me grounded, allowing me to serve my clients with compassion, respect, and understanding.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My friends, family, and my faith.
