I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and immigrants, my journey has involved challenges, uncertainty, and difficult decisions. Building a law practice in a highly regulated and constantly changing area like U.S. immigration law requires resilience, adaptability, and a long-term vision.
One of the biggest challenges was earning the trust of clients who were making life-changing decisions based on complex legal strategies. Immigration law leaves little room for error, and every case carries a high emotional and professional stake. Scaling the firm while maintaining quality, ethics, and personalized attention was another significant challenge.
There were also moments of navigating market shifts, policy changes, and increasing scrutiny in immigration adjudications, which required continuously refining our legal strategies. Each obstacle, however, became an opportunity to strengthen our processes, deepen our expertise, and build a firm grounded in credibility, consistency, and results.
These challenges ultimately shaped Linhares Law into what it is today: a firm that values preparation, transparency, and long-term success over shortcuts or promises that cannot be kept.
