Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Krazeise.
Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My life started as an unplanned pregnancy in Germany. My mother was 17 years old, alone, afraid and wanted to abort me. God used two women to intervene and minister to her and save me. When I was three, she met an American soldier in a German pub one night. They fell in love and after his term in the Army, he brought us to Sanford Florida, married her and later adopted me. My life was fairly normal until I was in 6th grade, when alcohol and despair entered our home, devastated my life. A series of events happened that led my to the lord, later married and pursued a banking career, which was ultimately used to prepare me for pro life ministry. 24 years ago, God called me into ministry and I started The Pregnancy Center. During that time, I discovered the unspoken truth of my biological father, which led me to searching for the father I never knew. After many twists and turns, I found him alive and longing to meet me.
Today, my ministry has three locations, serving over 250 young women each month and I authored a book, “He Came Back For Me” about my life journey of restoration.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was not an easy road, but a necessary one, proving God doesn’t waste our pain and uses it for His glory.
Some of the struggles we’re dealing with alcoholic parents, shame and emotional neglect, in addition to feeling unworthy.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
God used the most unqualified person to start The Pregnancy Center 24 years ago proving He doesn’t call the quailed but qualifies the called. The Pregnancy Center exists to provide alternatives to abortion by modeling the love of Jesus to women faced with an unplanned pregnancy. We provide medical care, such pregnancy testing, sonograms, vitamins, options counseling and tangible resources. God uses our ministry to save mothers and her unborn baby from the grips of abortion. Our ministry is highly successful in reaching abortion vulnerable women. A valuable service in our community, well respected and supported by many. We have grown from a one-woman operation to 14 staff members, 35 volunteers and a strong Board of 12. Privately funded giving 10% away to start international pregnancy centers, which over 50 have been planted in Costa Rica, Africa, Mexico, Cuba, DR and Haiti. What sets us apart from others is our mission-minded position to expand to other regions, whether it be locally or internationally. We also are one of the few pregnancy centers that not only have two stationary locations, we have a medical mobile unit that travels to other parts of our neighboring counties. I want readers to know our services are free and confidential. Aside from having the privilege to serve everyday hurting women God brings to us, I’m especially proud of the partners that stand with me putting love into action. It’s one thing to oppose abortion and another thing to do something. We are able to accomplish what we do because of people partnering with us. We practice biblical principals in our we operate. We are debt-free and only expand after we fundraise what is needed, a valuable principal I learned in my early years of banking prior to being called out of the corporate world into ministry.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I have learned along my journey is God’s lavished love for us, how He never wasted any of our pain AND nothing is random in our lives, everything has a purpose, even the dark and difficult times.
