Exploring Life & Business with Ari Melincoff-levy of Fitness Edge By Ari M. Levy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ari Melincoff-levy

Hi Ari, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in Philadelphia, where life was a mix of grit and hustle. My passion for creativity and sound led me to move to Florida, where I pursued recording engineering at Full Sail University. That chapter gave me a strong foundation in discipline and creativity, which I carried into the next phase of my life.

After graduating, I shifted gears and turned my focus to fitness, where I found my calling in helping others achieve their personal best. I owned and operated a CrossFit gym for seven years, building a strong community and guiding people through transformational journeys. That experience taught me the power of resilience, connection, and leading by example.

Eventually, I decided to take a more personal approach to fitness by starting my own personal training business. It allows me to work one-on-one with clients, tailoring programs to their unique needs and goals. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the twists and turns that brought me here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges along the way have shaped who I am today. Growing up in Philadelphia taught me resilience, but moving to Florida for school was a big leap. Being away from family and adjusting to a new environment was tough, but it pushed me to grow.

Owning a CrossFit gym came with its own set of struggles. Managing a business, building a community, and staying ahead in a competitive fitness industry required long hours and constant adaptation. There were times when balancing finances and keeping the gym running smoothly felt overwhelming. On top of that, the pandemic brought challenges no one could have predicted, forcing me to rethink and adapt my approach.

Starting my personal training business has been another leap of faith. It’s exciting but comes with the pressure of wearing multiple hats—trainer, marketer, and business owner. Building a client base and establishing a brand from scratch hasn’t been easy, but the passion for helping people keeps me going.

Every obstacle has been a lesson in perseverance, and those struggles have given me the drive to keep moving forward, even when the road gets rough.

We’ve been impressed with Fitness Edge By Ari M. Levy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Fitness Edge, is all about helping people push past their limits and achieve their personal best. I specialize in one-on-one personal training that’s tailored to each client’s goals, whether that’s weight loss, muscle building, improved performance, or overall health. What sets Fitness Edge apart is the combination of individualized attention and a competitive edge. I bring years of experience, from owning a CrossFit gym to training competitive athletes, and I use that expertise to create programs that are challenging, effective, and sustainable.

What I’m most proud of is the culture of empowerment I’ve built around my brand. Fitness Edge isn’t just about physical transformation; it’s about mental and emotional growth too. Clients don’t just see results—they feel more confident, disciplined, and capable in every area of their lives.

For readers, I want them to know that Fitness Edge isn’t a cookie-cutter program. It’s a partnership. I meet my clients where they are and guide them toward their goals with strategies that fit their lifestyle. Whether you’re an athlete looking to refine your skills or someone starting your fitness journey, Fitness Edge is here to help you push boundaries and discover what you’re truly capable of.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is seeing people break through their own limitations—both physically and mentally. Whether it’s a client hitting a personal record, someone realizing their potential for the first time, or even watching someone become more confident in themselves, those moments are incredibly rewarding.

I think it’s because I’ve been there myself—pushing through challenges, adapting to new situations, and discovering what I’m capable of. Helping others do the same reminds me why I do what I do. It’s not just about the results; it’s about the process, the growth, and the mindset shifts along the way.

On a personal level, I also find happiness in staying active, whether it’s on the water, in the gym, or competing. It keeps me grounded and reminds me to practice what I preach. Ultimately, my happiness comes from seeing progress—mine, my clients’, and the people around me who are striving to be better every day.
