Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Neu.
Barbara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up with a camera in hand, I was always drawn to taking pictures of family, animals, nature, clouds, anything really!
I chose to pursue Veterinary Assistant/Tech as my career and worked as a tech for 10 years.
I had my first daughter in 2020, reignited that passion, I didn’t want to miss a moment! I enrolled into college through New York Institute of Photography and have been working professionally ever since!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been perfectly smooth, but my struggles have been minor and mostly part of the learning process. Every day I work to grow, improve, and refine my craft so I can give my clients work that I am truly proud of.

I specialize in family, beach, pet, lifestyle & wedding photography, creating relaxed sessions that let real moments shine. What sets me apart is my focus on comfort and connection—I want clients to feel like they’re spending time together, not posing for a camera. I’m continuously learning and improving to offer the best possible experience, and I’m most proud of the trust families place in me to capture their most meaningful memories. My goal is simple: to create images that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.
What makes you happy?
My family and kids!
Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They continually push me and cheer me on!
