Hi Ben, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I opened our private practice with my wife and partner Dr. Christy Larson in 1998. We started cold, in a little 1400sqft office space with one employee and one lane of equipment, and a small optical. We now employ over 20 employees, have been in our own 5,000sqft free-standing office, have 8 exam lanes and 4 additional testing rooms, 3 doctors, and have been a growing private practice now for over 24 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, with a minor speed bump in 2009 during the recession, and again in 2020 during the pandemic.
