Hi Christal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always enjoyed Business Development & Marketing. It was always heartwarming for me to see a Company Grow & Expand. The way I got to where I am today is by Authentic Collaborations & Building Genuine Relationships with Clients and Business Partners. The Support of my Business Partner & Husband and of my family and close friends is phenomenal. I aspire to inspire not only my daughters but Women & Leaders everywhere. I am also in the process of releasing my first book by the end of this year called Seasoned with Love & Ambition: A Power Couple’s Guide to Nourishing Relationships & Building Brands.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There is never a smooth surface in any career it’s the bumps along the road & the struggles that make us all the Leaders that we are today. I would say In the Business Development world on the Side of The Samuels Team Powered by Mpire Financial which is the Mortgage Branch I Operate with my Husband who is a Genius with Numbers hence the Mortgage Man for over 14 years is standing out in a crowded market. The Mortgage world is highly competitive with every bank, broker, & direct lender fighting for attention. It is so important to ensure that you understand the Value your team brings & your ‘why” if you stay true to yourself, you will always stand out. We strongly believe in Collaboration over Competition. My struggles in My Marketing Company (Creative Media & Design) in the beginning was the constant evolution of social media. Platforms, Algorithms, & trends change fast. Staying relevant while running a business is challenging at times but pivoting & innovating is the key to your growth.

In both Businesses, Business Development/Marketing is my passion. I am known as the Business Development Maven in Mortgage & Marketing. What Sets me apart from others is that I strongly believe in Collaboration over Competition. Together we can achieve more. I am known for my ideas, events, & strategies. I want your readers to know that my Brands of The Samuels Team/ Creative Media & Design is family oriented and built around ensuring that those we meet in our path along the way thrive with us. We offer education services & classes. I specialize in digital marketing strategies & social media management. In our Mortgage broker team, we have access to many banks & programs to fit our client’s needs.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Let’s start off with the Good Luck, I would say meeting the right people at the right time. These past few years doors have opened for me that I will always be grateful for. Opportunities falling into place, Collaborations showing up at the right time & Supportive Community & family. Having a husband in the industry, daughters who inspire me, & a community that shows up to my events & classes means the world to me.
Now the Bad Luck because not everything is always rainbows & unicorns, Haha Industry shifts causing us to pivot rapidly, unaligned partnerships that have felt like a waste of time but taught me resilience & discernment. Lastly, personal timing. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with 2 autoimmune illnesses that I had to learn all about and navigate into my life. It came with a few setbacks that forced me to take a short pause & realign myself.
