Exploring Life & Business with Christine Wright of Christine Wright Independent Agent with Travelmation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Wright

Hi Christine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I first got into travel planning as a mom on a mission. My son has severe food allergies, and I was determined to find safe, accessible travel options for our family. After working with a Travelmation agent for a few of our trips, I realized how invaluable that support was. It gave me peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our time together. That experience inspired me to become a travel agent myself so I could help other families—especially those navigating food allergies—feel confident and excited about their travel plans.

Since joining Travelmation, I’ve been so grateful for the opportunity to make a difference for other families. Within my first year, I earned top producer status, and by the end of 2024, I was in the top 10% of agents. Last year alone, I had the privilege of helping 75 families plan unforgettable vacations, whether it was their first big trip or an annual getaway. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I’m playing a part in creating those lifelong memories.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced when starting my travel business was stepping out of my shell and offering my services beyond just friends and family. As a naturally reserved person, it felt intimidating to put myself out there and promote what I do. But I knew that if I wanted to help more families experience stress-free, memorable vacations—especially those dealing with food allergies like ours—I needed to get comfortable with being more visible.

I also pushed myself to learn as much as possible about different vacation suppliers. I completed certifications with Disney, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, and Sandals, among others. My goal was to equip myself with the knowledge and resources to provide my clients with exceptional, personalized recommendations. While it was challenging at first, the growth I’ve experienced and the incredible families I’ve been able to serve have made it all worthwhile.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Clermont is the small-town charm. Coming from South Florida, I really appreciate the sense of community here. I love the local shops, the friendly faces, and the opportunity to support small businesses. There’s something special about walking into a store or café and being greeted like a neighbor rather than just a customer.

As for what I like least—honestly, there’s not much! If I had to pick something, I’d say maybe the traffic on certain days, but even that’s a small price to pay for living in such a wonderful community.
