Exploring Life & Business with Danae Johnson of Central Florida Notary Express LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danae Johnson.

Hi Danae, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From an early age, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a desire to help others. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at 19 years old, an accomplishment that deepened my understanding of people and communication. Shortly after, I began working in the pharmaceutical and retail pharmacy industry, where I developed a strong foundation in service, attention to detail, and professionalism. As I grew in my career, I found myself eager to expand my skill set and explore new ways to serve my community. That journey led me to become a certified Notary Public in the state of Florida a role that allows me to combine my passion for helping people with the precision and trustworthiness the profession demands. Through Central Florida Notary Services, I’ve been able to provide reliable, accessible notary services while building meaningful connections with individuals and businesses across Central Florida. What began as a simple interest has evolved into a rewarding career centered on integrity, service, and community

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like many entrepreneurs, one of the biggest challenges I faced in the beginning was building awareness and finding consistent demand for my services. Marketing a notary business can be tricky at first it takes creativity, persistence, and a willingness to put yourself out there. I spent time learning how to effectively promote Central Notary through local advertising, distributing business cards, and, most importantly, relying on word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients. Over time, those efforts began to build momentum. Each client interaction became an opportunity to showcase professionalism and trust the kind of experience that encourages people to share your name with others. While the early stages required patience and persistence, the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing how my work helps others in meaningful ways makes every challenge worth it. My advice to anyone starting out is to stay persistent and authentic. Don’t be afraid to talk about what you do, ask for referrals, or share your journey. The more you connect with your community, the stronger your business will become. Every challenge is simply a stepping stone toward growth and when you focus on helping others, success always follows.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
As a mobile notary public serving Winter Park, Orlando, and all of the surrounding communities around. I come to your home, office, hospital, or senior living facility and handle the details so your signing feels simple and stress-free. From real estate closings and powers of attorney to marriage licenses, affidavits, and healthcare directives, my focus is accuracy, clarity, and respect for your time.

Behind every document is a real moment in someone’s life. I take that responsibility seriously by double-checking details, explaining each step in plain language, and creating a calm, professional experience. If you need witnesses, I can provide one or two on site, and I offer same-day appointments seven days a week.

If you’re preparing for an important signing, I’d be honored to help. You can reach us through our website at centralfloridanotaryexpress.com or call 386-853-4821 to schedule a visit at the time and place that works best for you.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My journey of finding a mentor has been tough for me. However, what has helped me is building a small team of informal mentors, of people who each guide me in one area. Even though, some may know my industry, others model good judgment, patience, and hustle.

Good places to look include church or community groups, your workplace, older relatives or family friends, and local business owners. Maybe one day, ask for a quick coffee or the chance to shadow them for an hour.

When you reach out, be specific and keep the ask small. Try something like, “Could I shadow you one morning to see how you handle clients?” Offer value in return by taking notes, sharing a useful resource, or helping with a simple task.

Mentors don’t always have to be in your field. Great operators can teach techniques, how to follow through, and how to think. If you do find someone in your exact industry, you’ll likely learn faster but steady guidance of any kind helps.

If you don’t have a mentor yet, you can also learn from YouTube, podcasts, and books. There are plenty of resources out there now, for anyone to use, and a mentor. It’s not the same as a person who knows you, but it keeps you moving forward.
