Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Desiree.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
For a long time, I knew how to show up. I knew how to be strong. I thought strength meant being the person who could carry everything. I knew how to lead, take care of people, get things done, and keep moving even when life was asking a lot of me. From serving in the United States Air Force to working in Education, becoming a coach, international speaker, writer, and podcast host, so much of my life has centered around service.
But somewhere along the way, I began asking a different question which was “what happens when the person you keep showing up for is everyone except yourself?” That question changed me. I began to realize that so much of what we call transformation isn’t always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it is about getting quiet enough to remember who we were before life, expectations, roles, disappointment, fear, and survival told us who we had to be.
I don’t believe I arrived here because I finally figured life out. I arrived here because I stopped believing I had to. I’m still living it. Still learning. Still remembering. The difference is that now I know how to return to myself when I wander. And much of my work is simply creating spaces where other people can remember that they can return too.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t look at the difficult parts of my life the way I once did. There have been seasons of grief, fear, uncertainty, care-giving, financial challenges, starting over, questioning myself, and trying to build something meaningful while still tending to the very real responsibilities of life. One of the hardest things has been learning that being strong and being whole are not the same thing.
I spent years being the strong one. The dependable one. The person who could figure it out. There is something beautiful about being able to show up for people, but there is also a cost when you begin believing your worth is connected to how much you can carry. I had to learn boundaries. I had to learn that rest wasn’t something I needed to earn. I had to learn that saying no didn’t make me unloving. And probably most importantly, I had to stop abandoning myself in the name of being there for everyone else.
Even now, life continues to give me opportunities to practice this which is important to me because I never want to stand in front of someone pretending I have mastered being human because I haven’t. My work isn’t built around perfection. It’s built around presence. I realize now that the struggles didn’t disqualify me from the work. In many ways, they deepened my capacity to do it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about EVOL2VE: EVOLVE 2 LOVE?
Behind EVOL2VE (Evolve 2 Love) is a belief that has become the foundation of everything I create, you don’t always need to become more. Sometimes you need to remember who you already are.
Because when we begin to strip away the expectations, old stories, roles, and identities we’ve learned to carry, what remains isn’t something we have to earn or become. It’s something we return to.
Love.
Love for ourselves, yes, but also love in how we lead. How we listen. How we connect, create, set boundaries, tell the truth, and show up for one another.
That is what it means to Evolve 2 Love.
My work lives at the intersection of transformational coaching, speaking, writing, deep conversation, and human connection. I create experiences that invite people to look at the stories they’ve been living from, reconnect with themselves, and move through their lives with greater presence, authenticity, and freedom.
Sometimes that looks like a keynote or workshop. Sometimes it’s a coaching conversation. Sometimes it happens through a book or podcast. And sometimes it’s simply a room full of people willing to be honest enough to say what is true.
I’m especially drawn to conversations around deep listening, boundaries, presence, self-abandonment, emotional freedom, and what it means to come home to yourself.
That work has now found another home in my upcoming book, The Temple of Me: The Return, a 30-day experience centered around a question that has shaped so much of my own life and work which is
“How did I get so far away from me?”
Over those 30 days, readers are invited to slow down, examine what they’ve been carrying, question what may no longer belong to them, and begin hearing themselves again. It isn’t about fixing yourself or becoming a better version of yourself. It’s about remembering the person who was there before the world told you who you needed to be.
If there is something that sets EVOL2VE apart, I believe it is I’m not interested in giving people another version of themselves to perform.
I create spaces.
Spaces where people can hear themselves. Spaces where the conversation can go beyond the surface. Spaces where someone can say, “I never saw it that way before,” and something shifts.
What I’m most proud of about EVOL2VE as a brand is that no matter how the work expands, the heart of it remains the same.
Whether I’m speaking on a stage, sitting across from someone in a coaching conversation, hosting a podcast, writing a book, or creating an experience, it all comes back to the same invitation come back to yourself.
I’ve built a brand that doesn’t ask people to become someone else in order to belong here. There is no performance required. No pretending. No chasing some perfected version of yourself.
There is simply space to remember.
And when someone tells me, “I never saw it that way before,” or I watch a room become quiet because something landed deeper than words, that means something to me.
Not because I gave someone the answer, but because something in the experience helped them hear their own.
That is what I’m most proud of building.
That is EVOL2VE.
We aren’t becoming someone new. We’re remembering who was there all along.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Presence is the most essential quality I have found throughout my work. Not perfection, confidence, charisma, or having all of the answers. When I am fully present, I don’t have to perform. I can listen deeply and I can notice. I can respond to what is actually happening instead of what fear, assumptions, or old stories tell me is happening. That has changed the way I lead, Coach, speak, parent, create, and live.
Some of the most meaningful, impactful, moments in my work have happened when I wasn’t trying to say something profound at all. I was simply willing to be with another human being without rushing to fix them. Presence has also taught me to trust myself differently. I don’t need to know every step before I take the next one. I can listen, get quiet, and move from what I know rather than what I fear, and when I forget which I do, I can return.
