Today we’d like to introduce you to David Figueroa.
David, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The Story of my Detailing career started as a young kid as far as I can remember I have always been into cars working on them with my dad and always trying to make an extra buck cleaning cars around the neighborhood. When I was 16 and finally had my own car a BMW 328 I 1997 Also known as an e36 I wanted to do everything I could to keep that car in pristine condition. I decided to get my own Detailing kit and I thoroughly enjoyed detailing my car. At work one day (Tibby’s, New Orleans Restaurant) it came up in conversation how I enjoyed detailing I had a coworker asked me if I would be willing to detail their car and I said I would do it for $50 which is crazy to think about now. little did I know this would be the start to my incredible journey of my Detailing business. Throughout my journey so far, I have faced many challenges and obstacles, but nothing yet has stopped me. One example of a challenge that I faced was when I got my first Detailing truck, which was a Ford ranger not long after purchasing the transmission had blown on me which in order to complete my Details that were local I used me and my sisters golf cart and loaded it up to complete my details. Soon After I purchased a F250 with an 8 foot bed which I’m very proud of. Any failures I have faced I have came back stronger then before. I’m Nowhere near where I want to be in my Detailing journey, but I’m thankful for every moment and Experience that has come so far.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been the smoothest road. As I said before I had trucks fail on me which my Ford ranger wasn’t the only one that failed. I recently purchased a Chevy suburban in hopes to have a second unit, but that quickly failed and I decided Change plans. I’ve had situations where I made foolish decisions ending myself up Detailing at 9 PM on a school night which those were some good times ha ha ha. I’ve had instances equipment breaks air compressor fails, pressure washer, and hoses that Don’t wanna work or they fail. Instances I’ve forgot equipment for a detail and many more horror stories. all of these instance taught me and have helped me grow. I have a wonderful support team, which helps me get through these tough times I can honestly say I would not be the same detailer or person if I had not faced these obstacles.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I have always been very curious and interested in learning. I’ve participated in a variety of sports and hobbies ranging from baseball, lacrosse, football, weightlifting, basketball, dirt bikes and much more have always enjoyed being very active but one thing that has always peaked. My interest is cars it is truly just , something that fascinates me the way cars work. Growing up when I was younger one of my favorite things to do was mess around with RC planes and trucks every day after school I would always look forward to running my nitro RC truck.
