Hi Diego, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story? How did you get to where you are today?
For my birthday about 10 years ago, a friend gave me a book; in his signature, he wrote: “Impact your generation.” From that moment, I felt that I had the ability but, at the same time, the responsibility to believe and dream in everything I do, undertake, or even envision. I had several ventures in other countries where it can have a particular impact; in addition to Gol del Corazón I am a writer and speaker, but when I started creating Gol del Corazón, I thought that many people would see soccer as I see it. Still, I must be honest; I would never have thought it had the impact it had, and that is a divine gift for me. Gol del Corazón has the privilege of being a benchmark in soccer and perhaps also in world sports despite its few years of activity.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I would tell you that the answer would be like “seeing the glass half full or half empty”; it depends on your ambition and your stubbornness with your purpose or your objective. There will be many problems. I come from a country where opportunities are not given in large quantities, but in every dream I had, I learned to take steps to try to achieve them. The reality is that in any goal you have, the path will not be easy at all, but that is where your gallantry and faith will help you trust and continue walking forward. A difficulty that I could add is that many people who expected to help me could not do so for different reasons; for a moment, it frustrated me, but I did not allow that to limit me, and I continued looking for options to move forward.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Gol del Corazón is a sports platform; it is new, about 2 years old, and as I mentioned before, it became trendy and known throughout the world for several reasons, the main ones being sports and football analysis, also for the historical information. And the curiosities that are shared periodically, I don’t want to forget the events we have where the followers and sympathizers of the brand are part; this means that between 5 to 10 million people monthly see or directly follow the platform, in addition To this, several of the leading media outlets around the world share our information, publications and thoughts, which allows Gol del Corazón to indirectly reach much more significant amounts that for me are almost impossible to count, it is a dream. I didn’t think this was possible. Regarding services, I am currently working on different aspects of promoting sponsorships in “GDC.” This massive number of views and reach is ideal for all companies linked to international businesses, essential brands, and brands related to tourism. They are only examples because I am sure that this works for a vast number of industries.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
God deserves exceptional credit; he gives me dreams and the courage to try to achieve them. I am very grateful to my family, who always supports me, but if I had to add someone else, it would be Rodrigo Roca, for that phrase he gave me and allowed me to dream: “Impact your generation.” Without a doubt, I am more than grateful to all the followers and fans of GDC; I have always said that Gol de Corazón is theirs.
