Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Acker.
Hi Eddie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in West Orlando, FL in the Pine Hills community. I grew up with both parents in the household along with 2 siblings. By the age of 15, I began gravitating towards a life of crime and violence. This resulted in expulsions from school along with jail time.
As I grew older, I was still repeating the same patterns and the consequences became more extensive. It wasn’t until May of 2012 that a good friend of mine was murdered and that is when I knew it was time for me to change. By September of 2012, I gave my heart to Christ Jesus and joined a local church (Joshua Generation Outreach Church). This is when I discovered that my purpose in life was to help others make it out of the lifestyle that I was in.
Not so much as crime and violence but more so their reason why. I discovered I was called to the hurting and those who struggled with their identity. To those who battled in their minds. Now, I live my life to help others conquer those issues while making them aware of their purpose in life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of my greatest struggles were learning to live sober, self-discovery, and self-love.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nation Shakers LLC?
My business was launched in February of 2020. What you should know about Nation Shakers is that it is non-discriminate towards other religions or ethnicities. Our main objective is to love everyone no matter what state their life is in.
We specialize in empowerment workshops for youth, young adults, and even the elderly. We are most known for cultivating nation shakers by exposing them to their life’s purpose. What sets us apart from others is that we are us, we are original, and are not competing with anyone. We just love.
I am proud of Nation Shakers because we have been consistent with helping people lead better lives. To those who are interested in connecting with us, we travel and facilitate virtually. We have our own curriculum that targets identity, mental health, sobriety, etc.
What do you think about luck?
I don’t necessarily believe in luck, I believe in favor. Our business has been favored with access to certain facilities where we can facilitate workshops. We have gained partnerships with book publishers and graphic designers. The greatest way we have been favored is in the relationships we have gained.
