Eduardo Osegueda

Hi Eduardo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
If you had told me 26 years ago that I was going to be healthy as a horse and help dozens of thousands of people to heal physically and emotionally, help athletes to completely smash their records and win championships, or help entrepreneurs crush it and succeed, and help thousands to make their most beautiful dreams come true and completely change their lives, I would have thought you were entirely out of your mind. Twenty-six years ago, I was 28 years old and had just been told by my therapists in Europe that I had a few months left to live and that there was nothing else that anyone could do. I had extensive damage to my heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, adrenals, bones, and joints. My blood was a mess. For years, I had been in deep pain and had no vitality whatsoever. It felt as if the flame of my life had already been extinguished in my body, but I was being kept awake as some cruel, bad joke. And when I asked about a transplant, they didn’t even have to start talking; I saw it in their faces even before they opened their mouth. I was too broken to be fixed; I was no candidate for any transplant. It all had been a long, slow, progressive process that, while painful and difficult, still gave me the chance to experience many wonderful things. By the time I was 28 and exhausted, I was at the same time grateful for my life. At that time, I thought it just had been a bit more challenging and would be a bit shorter than for most people, but it was no short of wonder and reasons to be grateful for.

Due to a strep infection complication called Rheumatic Fever, I had lived over twenty years of my life on heavy antibiotics and harsh medication. That had saved and extended my life on one hand, at least for some time. However, on the other, the illness was still there, often coming back with a vengeance, more resistant to the antibiotics, more powerful than them, and more powerful than me. The side effects of the medication had reached a point of being just as bad as the effects of the illness itself, if not worse. It seemed like a no-way-out situation. That is where I was after two decades of trying the conventional approach. So many doctors had tried everything within their power to help me, but things were quickly going downhill. At the same time, I had been a victim of medical negligence and medical abuse on various occasions. That had taken me to a point in which my trust in the “medical system” as a whole was completely shattered.

So, I decided to open my exhausted and completely skeptical mind and try different things. At age 22, I started researching and being treated with many forms of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Mexico, the United States, and Europe. For six years after that, I had learned a lot and had met amazing doctors and experts to whom I will always be grateful. I grew tremendously as an individual, but my health was still deteriorating fast. Nothing worked, and eventually, I received the last prognosis: nothing left to do and just a few months left to live.

I accepted that reality and didn’t feel defeated because I knew I had given it my best. It was just what it was. I was so exhausted and in so much physical and emotional pain that part of me was even looking forward to venturing into what I still feel is just the “next journey” or “the next big adventure.” The journey we will all take at some point can’t be wrong. Death can be scary at times, but it was also fascinating to me. I decided not to worry my family about the difficult news, especially my mother, who had gone through so much with me and worried too much. So, I started writing goodbye letters to everyone essential to my life. Doing so was another fantastic, unexpected journey, which I now recommend everyone to do. Writing those letters made me realize so much more, just how lucky I had always been regardless of the challenges and the many things that hadn’t gone my way. What a discovery!

As I was doing that, a few weeks later, I received news from one of my former doctors from the Netherlands. He got in touch with me after having visited the world’s largest medicine-free hospital in China. In his letter, he wrote: “People are healing from all kinds of advanced and terrible diseases just with the power of their mind, without the use of any drugs, needles, herbs, supplements, or even special diets; it is the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life.” That was a lot coming from someone who was super proud of his medical research and achievements, his two high-end clinics in the United States and his largest one in Europe, who had written many books and trained many doctors. Still, to me, it sounded too good to be true. After so many disappointments after everything I had gone through and unsuccessfully tried, I was more skeptical than ever. Yet, of course, I couldn’t “leave” without giving it a shot. “Just this one last thing before I die,” I thought.

In 1999, I got a one-way ticket to China. I arrived in the middle of one October night at the old and neglected Beijing airport with everything I had left in a red backpack, knowing I might never see my parents again. I opened to the strong possibility of having traveled to the other side of the world only to go through yet another disappointment. But at least I was not going without one last fight. I didn’t realize it at first, but I was fortunate, and soon after, I received unprecedented training at the foot of China’s most sacred mountain: Tai-Shan (Shandong Province). My entire training was supervised by the highest authority there, who assigned two full-time teachers to train me. They all repeatedly told me that no foreigner had ever been taught at that level of depth or intensity. I was grateful for that, but I was still completely skeptical. China was very tough for me. The food, the language, the culture, the pollution, the cold. And yes, the training itself and the illness it was mostly torture, to be honest. But I had to give it my all until the end, make the best out of it, and even take it with humor, which allowed me to endure. I never felt any improvement in China, but the teachers insisted, “I was changing a lot, but I didn’t realize it yet.” I thought they were trying to keep me engaged and hopeful. But a few months later, everything began to change after I left China to return to the United States.

In a few weeks, my body surprisingly regained muscle mass without physical exercise; my mental clarity, creativity, and vitality were like nothing I had ever experienced. A little later, I realized there was no pain and no sign of inflammation in my body. Eventually, the “impossible” was clear: I was completely healthy for the first time. What almost three decades of medications, surgery, all kinds of treatments, special diets, and more doctors and experts than I can remember could not achieve, I had achieved all by myself in a few months of using my mind and my body a little bit differently. I had to share this with the whole world. I had to let people know we all have that power within us. I taught my first conference ever at The Chopra Center in La Jolla, California, in the United States in the year 2000, and later established in Mexico, where I am originally from. I developed my teachings there and have had the privilege to serve over 25,000 people from all over the world, including celebrities and scientists, athletes, artists, and individuals from all walks of life, to prevent and heal diseases, improve their physical, mental, emotional, financial health; and most importantly, to truly discover and enjoy their highest potential, their Inner Power. My family and I now live in the fantastic city of Orlando, Florida. We couldn’t be more grateful. The United States has embraced us as it always has, with generosity and love through its wonderful people, awe-inspiring beauty, and unique field of vibrance, inspiration, and opportunity.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Like most things in life, it has had a bit of both. It has been a lot of hard work. When I started, I didn’t know anyone, so I had to show results in the first few people who trusted me enough to try my training. During the first four years, everyone around me wanted me to quit. I was over 30, living again at my mom’s, and no matter what I tried, very few people would sign up for my workshops. I had graduated summa cum laude as a graphic designer, had a high education, and a big temptation to just get a job and start my life all over again. But I knew what I had was way too precious and too needed by so many who were suffering like I had suffered. As cliche as it may sound, I know it was game-changing material at a global scale. So I decided not to quit, and after the fourth year, something happened that, from that moment on, every single workshop I put together completely sold out. I had to change venues from a conference room that fitted 50 people max to the largest venue in Mexico City that could guarantee total silence during my whole training, the main venue at one of the most iconic and prestigious business complexes in Latin America. That was my main venue, and I constantly traveled to many other cities to teach. Then COVID hit, and I went from an utterly sold-out workshop to being unable to enter the building a few days before my training was supposed to start. So, I had to reinvent myself and teach online for the first time. Of course, it was challenging, but it was also incredible and opened the doors to the rest of the world. Before that, I had people traveling mainly to Mexico City from many parts of the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Australia. People who would travel for just a few days to take my training and then have to go back to their lives. But now, my complete training is online because it is way more feasible for everyone and allows for a level of detail that no live training can give. The students can pause, rewind, repeat the lessons as often as needed, take perfect notes, and not miss any detail. My only live events now are speaking engagements, retreats, and the occasional meeting with a private coaching student if convenient. Still, otherwise, we can be anywhere in the world and help people completely change their lives.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My students have told me that I have given them a whole new life, the actual instruction manual for their mind and body, and access to their unknown Inner Power, thus, our name. This has allowed many to defeat the odds anywhere from all kinds of health challenges to finding the love of their life, healing their relationship with money, increasing their revenue, managing stress effectively, making better decisions, identifying and creating better opportunities for themselves, being more creative, overcoming depression and anxiety, becoming free of trauma, addictions, and eating disorders, and in general, regardless of the particular things they achieve in different areas of their lives, whether, in their health, their sports, business, relationships, and overall goals, the most frequent expressions I get are always about how they started experiencing joy, love and well being like they never thought possible before.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
All crises come with their share of opportunity. Not only COVID-19 but every crisis we face can make us stronger if we are just aware enough, humble enough, and present enough to learn the lessons, make the changes, take the actions and be willing to do whatever work is needed. In my experience, every single time after I’ve overcome a crisis, I’ve found myself in a much better place than the one I was before the crisis started. I truly believe that life is all about growing oneself: growing your love, your consciousness, your understanding, your potential and your humbleness, your joy and your peace, and as a result of all that, also your contribution.
