Today we’d like to introduce you to Eirisse Anny Mororo.
Hi Eirisse Anny , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Brazil and in 2001 moved to the United States when I was just 15 years old. It was a big transition, but I was fortunate to complete high school here and later attend university, where I studied Management. Over the years, I built a solid career in the hospitality industry and gained valuable experience in real estate, mortgages, and property management.
Before launching my business, I worked as an International Sales and Marketing Manager for a major hotel chain in the United States. It was a demanding corporate 9-to-5 role that required frequent travel and a high level of commitment. While I was proud of the work I was doing, I always had a deep passion for beauty, art, and makeup—something that had been with me since I was young.
About seven years ago, I made the bold decision to step away from the corporate world and follow my heart. I opened my own beauty business, and it was one of the most significant and life-changing decisions I’ve ever made. Shortly after taking that leap, my youngest son, Benjamin, was diagnosed with a rare degenerative condition called Ataxia. In many ways, the timing was a blessing. Having my own business allowed me the flexibility to focus on his care and be present for all the therapies and support he needed.
Doctors once told us that Benjamin might never walk or talk. Today, at almost nine years old, he’s exceeded those expectations. He walks with the help of a walker, communicates, and continues to amaze us with his strength and determination. I’m also a proud mother to two wonderful daughters, Sarah and Isabelly, and I’m grateful every day for the love and support of my husband, Richard.
Another unique part of my story is that I’m also an identical twin. Growing up with a twin shaped so much of who I am—there’s a deep sense of connection, empathy, and shared strength that has always been a part of my life.
Throughout the years, I’ve earned multiple certifications in the beauty industry, including permanent makeup and instructor credentials. Teaching has become a true passion of mine, and for the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my craft and helping others build their own careers. Most recently, I expanded my business into a larger space, brought on new staff, and am now focused on mentoring and growing a strong, empowered team.
This journey has been full of challenges, but it has also brought incredible purpose, fulfillment, and resilience. I’m so proud of the life I’ve built—one where I can do what I love, show up fully for my family, and help others find their own path to success.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced my share of ups and downs. Transitioning from a stable corporate career with a steady income to starting my own business was a major leap of faith. There’s always that lingering question of “what if?”—what if things don’t go as planned, what if it doesn’t work out?
Opening a business requires resilience, especially when you’re stepping away from a life that offered security and predictability. I was fortunate to have a strong support system—my husband, my family, and especially my faith helped me stay grounded. But at the same time, when my son was diagnosed with Ataxia shortly after I made that career change, it shook me. It made me question everything and wonder if I had made the right choice.
One of the most difficult moments came during the pandemic. Like so many small business owners, I was forced to shut my doors with no certainty of when—or if—I’d be able to reopen. I had just taken this big step to follow my dream, and suddenly, the future of my business and my family felt very uncertain. That was a very scary and painful time. But I was resilient. I adapted, I stayed focused, and I pushed through that season. I’d say without a doubt, that was one of the hardest hurdles I’ve faced as a business owner.
Looking back now, with the progress my son has made and the growth of my business, I have no doubt that stepping into entrepreneurship was the right decision. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve built—not just for myself, but for my family and for the clients I serve every day.
We’ve been impressed with Anny-M Beauty, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Anny-M Beauty, is a BEAUTY and ACADEMY brand built from a deep passion for lashes, brows, and the empowerment that comes through self-care. What started as a boutique studio specializing in eyelash extensions and brow services has now grown into a full-service beauty destination and a thriving professional training academy.
On the BEAUTY side, we offer a wide range of high-quality services including eyelash extensions and lifts, eyebrow shaping and lamination, permanent makeup, facials, massages, laser treatments, and salon services. Our goal has always been to create a one-stop shop for all of our clients’ beauty needs, where they can feel confident, pampered, and cared for under one roof.
On the ACADEMY side, I’m incredibly proud to say we’ve certified nearly 500 students in just the last five years in eyelash extensions alone. Our trainings have expanded significantly and now include eyelash and eyebrow microblading, lip blush, permanent makeup, eyebrow lamination, and more. We recently launched a full catalog of online courses to meet the growing demand for flexible learning, in addition to our hands-on in-person trainings that have brought in students from all over the world.
Another major milestone was launching our own eyelash extensions product line, which is now used and trusted by many of our students and professionals. Creating a high-quality product that reflects our brand values of excellence and integrity has been a dream come true.
