Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisabeth Mitchell.
Hi Elisabeth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a University of Florida graduate and a Florida educator with 12 years experience. With the need to be able to provide a future and things for my children I knew I needed more. They have doctor bills, I needed a new-to-me car, I needed to be able to provide them money for college and I knew unfortunately teaching was not enough for us. I was working a second job at Kay Jewelers when I used my tax return money to return to school in Orlando to get my esthetician license. I started working in lashes immediately following graduation. Over time my reputation as a lash artist grew. Now after almost 7 years I was able to open my own little salon called the Rose Room of Ocala. After searching all over town for about a month, I happened to come across a listing that I scooped up instantly. I knew the large windows overlooking the golf course was exactly what I needed. It has now been 3 long hard rewarding years and we are moving along nicely.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. Almost every plan had some sort of hiccup. Some struggle that made me second guess what I did. I knew I needed to keep trying and push to make back my investment. I love this space wholeheartedly and one day I would love to pass it on to someone ready to take it further.

We are a small salon in a small town. We are unique here in our style and healing energy. We offer facials, holistic facials, hair, IV therapy, lash extensions, brow shaping and tinting and spray tans. I am proud of our work ethic, our employee take their craft and their relationships with their clients seriously. It is not uncommon at all for them to come in as early as 6am to work with a client. We are also a wholesaler for a holistic skin careline called Blissoma. Our lounge is genuienly beautiful.
Any big plans?
Big changes are possibly coming but are still in the discussion stages.
