Hi Ericka, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hi, I’m Ericka! I’ve been a licensed medical esthetician for over four years, and I’m based in Orlando, Florida. My love for skincare sparked when I was young by watching my mom always take the best care of herself (the original self-care queen)!! She was always doing face masks at home and sharing those moments with my sister and me. It wasn’t uncommon to walk into our house on any given weekend and see all three of us with face masks! A core memory of mine is receiving my first professional facial at the age of 13 from my mom’s esthetician, and ever since then, I have been hooked!
I was attending UCF and working at a luxury retail skincare store, and I was not genuinely feeling fulfilled, so I decided to take the leap and leave UCF and switch to esthetician school! I was working my way up the retail ladder and attending full-time. I completed paramedical skin care after one year and four months while working full-time and building my clientele thru Instagram. When I wasn’t working at my full-time job, I took my clients to my house on the weekends. I did this for over 2 years before I quit my job and decided to go solo. I’ve been a solo esthetician for close to 2 years now.
Skincare has always been a lot more for me than just getting exterior results; it’s been about taking good care of my body and showing it love. I love to help others feel beautiful on the inside and out, and I take pride in being an extremely knowledgeable esthetician who always strives to provide high-quality, luxury, and results-driven services. I possess excellent knowledge and have all of the tools necessary to work with you to achieve your skin goals. I use modalities and medical-grade products to aid in treating skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, pigmentation, sensitivity, aging, and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been easy and hasn’t looked pretty, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I learned a lot along the way, made many financial mistakes, and went thru a lot of trial and error when purchasing inventory and things for my business. A considerable part of it would also be getting the word out and growing my clientele. Nobody prepares you for entrepreneurship; it is a 24/7 job to build a business!

I run a luxury skincare studio providing facials, brow services, and lash lifts. I specialize in corrective skincare treatments such as an acne Bootcamp program to get clients clear in 3-6 months, pigmentation and aging concerns, and preventative care. What sets me apart is that I have a true passion for my job and treat every single client like pure gold. I give my all during every interaction and create individualized treatment plans to get them to their dream skin! I am most proud of my transparency and connection with my clients and followers on social media. I want readers to know that I am a haven for those who feel vulnerable to show others their skin and that they can always count on me to work hard for them and get their skin to where they desire it to be! I’ve created a family and cultivated a community that is more than I could have imagined.
