Hi Herbrinia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Welcome to Be Fabulous Events; my late husband and I started our business a few years ago. Our passion for designing events has grown immensely over the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I lost my husband – the love of my life- during this journey. Now with the help of our kids and family, we carry out a mission to provide a fabulous, enchanting experience to you, our valued clients. We offer full event setups, including balloon displays, rentals, decadent desserts, designer cakes, floral arrangements, and much more. We have blossomed from creating simple balloon columns to designing exquisite balloon structures to suit events. Our sophisticated balloon display offers a unique touch that can brighten any room. Not only do we offer balloon statement pieces, but we also offer luxury furniture and chair rentals that add an elegant touch to any event. About two years ago, I received a diploma in professional pastry arts from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. I progressed from baking amateur cakes to baking professional, designer cakes and pastries for your special moments.
Additionally, we offer customized package treats and chocolate-dipped treats that are exclusively coordinated with your event. After losing my husband unexpectedly, I found peace when I began making floral arrangements once weekly to leave at his gravesite. This experience made me interested in creating beautiful floral arrangements for others. We offer floral arrangements that range from small, personal arrangements to grand centerpieces. We are thrilled to provide everything you need to create the most exceptional event. It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was way more to owning a business than to say pretty logos, and print shirts. The more I learn to invest in myself and my team craft, we gain the knowledge about proper business structure and credit. Buying inventory, perfecting our crafts, and knowing our worth made our experience with our client a smooth process. Don’t get me wrong, we are still growing and finding easier systems to implement for our clients. My hardest journey during this is when I lost my husband I ran into a creative block and trying to balance my new life as a single mother of 3 beautiful children. Just like my business, I had to implement a system and now we have found balance again!

Be Fabulous Events is a black owned, family basic, one stop shop for all your event needs. We pride ourselves on treating every client like family and giving them their own signature design that is customized to their specification and dream. Our events are created with authentic and never duplicate to leave our client with the most rave about enchanted memories to last a lifetime.
How do you define success?
I define success by the smiling expressions and the number of clients we touch through our creativity. Being able to tell their story through our work for their guests is the most challenging but also most astonishing part. Even though I touch many clients with my craft I also feel like God has taken me on a journey with losing my husband, so I use my business platform (creating a brunch event with personalized gifts, counseling, and more) to reach other grieving mothers and children annually. I want them to know that they are not alone and we are all in this together!! The smiles on their faces warms my heart and it reassures me that not only am I doing a great job but his legacy of a wonderful father, businessman, and person is still being carried out through us.
