Exploring Life & Business with Inez Nazario-Vega of Business Essentials Virtual Assistant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inez Nazario-Vega

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After losing my father, my brick-and-mortar business to COVID, going through financial hardship and also losing the love of my life to a heart condition, I took a hard look at my journey. This period of soul-searching helped me discover my true calling—to become a Strategic Virtual Assistant and build a premier virtual assistant agency that empowers small businesses.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
After being in business for 3 full years, I’ll have to say that it started smoothly, then around November 2023 it took a little turn and had a bumpy ride throughout 2024. It is now picking up again 🙂

Our struggle was identifying and recruiting accounts with the funding to use our services. With Virtual Assistant agencies overseas charging only $9 per hour it was a stiff competition to overcome. But now we have been able to better communicate our value proposition and business is now better.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Business Essentials Virtual Assistant is an agency dedicated to providing personalized and high-quality support tailored to the unique needs of your business. What sets us apart is our boutique and strategic approach to service our clients. We limit the number of clients we work with to ensure that each one receives the highest level of service and attention. Our clients are not just numbers to us; they are partners in success.

Our team of highly skilled virtual assistants is handpicked for their expertise, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. We match you with a dedicated assistant(s) who becomes an integral part of the business, understanding the business inside and out.

We offer VA services in the areas of Administrative Support, Customer Support, Project Management, Social Media & Marketing. Our initial approach with clients is very consultative, we do our best to understand the business, help maximize operations with technology integration before adding the virtual assistant to their operations. Our goal is to help businesses do more with less and in a cost effective manner.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Well, I had a different business prior to Covid and which I lost due to Covid.

It was the Covid-19 crisis that prompted my new business. What I did learn is that one must design the business in a manner that can continue to operate should we have to lock up a brick and mortar business again.

My prior business is called B4G (Building for Generations) Academy and it was a facility for homeschool students of working parents. I did change the business model and it is still running as a virtual platform. However, I sort of lost the passion and due to other personal issues, I sold the business in June 2021.
