Hi Jacqueline, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I pursued a healing self and a desire to serve others. Like many others, I stepped into my power and backed out of my power. However, something different happened this time. My voice was nullified my throat chakra was underactive. I went through depression, feeling exhausted, overworked, and underpaid. I kept ignoring the way I was feeling. It was more like I convinced myself that I wasn’t feeling anything. That’s when the biggest turning point happened in my life. My grandmother passed away from cancer. I realized that my previous encounters with what I had deduced to be pain weren’t even pain. Imagine that! All my previous occurrences were emotional turbulence guiding me to an unknown place. I will tell you that the pain of her passing went so deep I had nothing left but love.
Three months after her passing, I completed my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. After deep self-reflection, I still yearned to understand and integrate alternative holistic modalities. That’s when Reiki found me. In 2019, I completed my training. I am now a certified Reiki Master Teacher. I immediately noticed my vibrations shifted, and boom, I was met with some more emotional turbulence. This time it felt different, though. I wasn’t fighting against the current or with it. I was experiencing a deeper level of reflective awareness in the present moment. How did I make it? I did what most people have difficulty doing. I surrendered, acknowledged my verbal dialogue, and started reclaiming my true identity. I started to embrace the feminine flow of life. Our emotional traumas leave an imprint even when memories fade. This is why some people feel disembodied. I’ve been in the healthcare field for a few years. I’ve observed myself, couples, children, adolescents, and even my coworkers. I realized that health was being overlooked, and people were experiencing burnout. I found that people avoided attending to their emotions and ignored their needs. There were different nuances and stressors that people didn’t know how to cope with, function & have a fulfilled life. I also remember growing up. I struggled with obesity. Our self-talk self-image creates specific narratives that get the project into our daily routine. I wanted to create a business that gives us this positive outlet for self-care. I become very intentional. I am a holistic entrepreneur. Every part of my business encompasses my purpose of impacting mind, body, and spirit. Zen Zone offers Crystal Energy sessions, Sound Healing, Red light therapy, PEMF therapy, Infrared Sauna detox, body contouring, Yoni Steam, Lymphatic Drainage, and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m working on moving out of my comfort zone. I was born in Harlem and raised in New York; I relocated and expanded. It’s not so much a struggle. It’s adapting to new territory and applying key principles.
