Today we’d like to introduce you to Jalynn Jones.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
To close out 2025, ConnectTech+ achieved two major milestones that marked a true turning point in our momentum. We officially landed our first community partnership with The Hamptons in Auburndale, Florida, a vibrant 55+ neighborhood where I’ll begin hosting Tech Confidence classes for residents starting in the new year. This collaboration represents exactly what ConnectTech+ was created to do — empower everyday people with tools, confidence, and hands-on support right where they are.
Around that same time, I was invited onto SB Media Group’s Small Business Spotlight Podcast, where I had the opportunity to take a deep dive into the heart of ConnectTech+ — how it started, why it matters, and the personal story behind choosing this path. Sharing that journey publicly was more than an honor; it confirmed just how many people are resonating with the mission and vision driving this company forward.
At the heart of ConnectTech+ is a commitment to true community impact. Every service — from tech education to mobile printing to NFC emergency tools designed specifically for seniors — was built to solve real problems for real people. In many Central Florida neighborhoods, especially 55+ communities, access to clear, patient, and senior-friendly tech support is limited. ConnectTech+ fills that gap by bringing understanding, guidance, and convenience directly to the people who need it most, helping residents stay confident, connected, and independent in a fast-changing digital world.
Looking ahead to 2026, ConnectTech+ is positioned for a year of intentional expansion. With community partnerships growing, NFC technology becoming a core safety and convenience tool for seniors, and rising demand for mobile printing and marketing services, the focus is on scaling with purpose — without ever losing the personal touch that defines the brand. Plans include expanding Tech Confidence classes into additional communities, introducing new workshops centered around digital safety and smart-home essentials, and growing the mobile service model so residents and small businesses across Central Florida can access high-quality tech help without leaving their neighborhoods. The goal is clear: to make ConnectTech+ the most trusted, accessible, and community-driven tech support resource in the region.
That experience planted a seed. I realized there was a real gap in our community — seniors needed someone patient, knowledgeable, and local who could meet them where they are and help them feel confident with technology. That’s where the idea for ConnectTech+ was born.
At ConnectTech+, we’re passionate about making technology simple, personal, and accessible. It’s not just about fixing a device — it’s about building trust, empowering our senior community, and helping them stay connected to family, friends, and the world around them.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what makes the journey so meaningful. Transitioning from a stable corporate job to building a business from the ground up has come with its fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles has been putting my all into this business after recently leaving Office Depot to focus fully on growing ConnectTech+. From learning how to believe in my dream and not letting fear or doubt set in, to stepping out of my comfort zone to build what I truly believe will be a great business — every day has been a lesson in faith, perseverance, and purpose.
Another challenge has been building awareness. ConnectTech+ is a unique concept in the Lakeland area — a mobile tech and print service that focuses on helping seniors — so a lot of people don’t realize this kind of service even exists yet. It’s taken time, patience, and a lot of networking to spread the word and earn the trust of assisted living facilities, 55+ communities & even small businesses.
But every obstacle has been a lesson. Each challenge has pushed me to grow not just as a business owner, but as a person. What keeps me going is knowing that ConnectTech+ is making a real difference — when a client finally learns how to FaceTime their grandchild, or when a facility director tells me how much we’ve helped their residents feel more confident with technology. Those moments remind me exactly why I started this journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
ConnectTech+ is a mobile tech and print service based in Lakeland, Florida, created with one simple mission — to bridge the gap between technology and the senior community. We specialize in in-home device setup, one-on-one tech lessons, printing and scanning services, notary assistance, and small electronics recycling. But beyond the services, what we really provide is patience, understanding, and connection.
We’re known for taking the time that big retail stores simply can’t. Whether it’s helping a senior learn how to use their smartphone, set up a new tablet, or understand how to safely navigate the internet, we meet our clients where they are — literally and figuratively. Many of our clients have told us they feel more comfortable learning in their own homes, where they don’t feel rushed or embarrassed to ask questions. That’s the kind of experience we pride ourselves on delivering.
At ConnectTech+, we offer more than just tech help — we’re your partner in building a stronger, more connected brand. Our custom promotional items help small businesses stand out in their communities and make a lasting impression. From branded pens, shirts, and mugs to banners, business cards, and marketing materials, we handle everything from design to print to delivery.
Whether you’re promoting your business at a local event, thanking loyal customers, or elevating your everyday marketing, ConnectTech+ makes it easy to look professional, polished, and prepared.
What sets ConnectTech+ apart is the personalized, community-first approach. We’re not a corporate tech brand — we’re local, we’re mobile, and we genuinely care. We build relationships with assisted living facilities, senior communities, small businesses and families to make technology feel approachable and empowering.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built in such a short amount of time. Seeing the smiles on our clients’ faces when they realize they can learn something new — that’s the core of our brand. ConnectTech+ isn’t just about technology; it’s about helping people stay connected to the ones they love and feel confident in a digital world that’s constantly changing.
What I want readers to know is that ConnectTech+ is more than a service — it’s a movement to make technology simple, accessible, and stress-free for everyone, especially those who often get left behind.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is to always believe in your dream and never be afraid to go after it — no matter what that looks like. Starting a business isn’t easy, and it won’t always make sense to everyone around you. But if it’s something that keeps tugging at your heart, that’s your sign to keep pushing.
There will be moments of doubt, and times when you’ll question if you made the right decision. I’ve learned that those are the moments that build your strength and character the most. You have to trust your vision, even when the road gets tough, and remind yourself why you started in the first place.
Something I wish I knew earlier is that you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Progress starts with one small step — one client, one idea, one leap of faith. The rest will come with time, consistency, and belief in yourself.
