Exploring Life & Business with Janie-Alice Seecharan of Ignite Your Flow Yoga & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janie-Alice Seecharan.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey to Ignite Your Flow started in a very different place. I spent seven years in Corporate Finance building a successful career while experiencing burnout, anxiety, and high levels of stress. I had become accustomed to constantly doing, achieving, and pushing through, even when my body and mind were telling me to slow down.

My work ethic is deeply connected to my Guyanese American upbringing. I grew up with a strong understanding that what you have is often the result of what someone before you was willing to sacrifice, build, or go without. Hard work, education, responsibility, and creating a better life were deeply valued, and those lessons stayed with me. They carried me through my career in Corporate Finance and eventually into entrepreneurship, where I learned to be resourceful, figure things out, and keep going even when there wasn’t a clear roadmap.

But my journey also taught me that being hardworking and constantly pushing are not the same thing.

Yoga, meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness became tools that helped me recover from burnout and reconnect with myself. They taught me how to recognize what was happening within me, regulate stress, and respond differently instead of constantly operating from overwhelm. I realized these weren’t just practices for the yoga mat. They were tools for life.

When I left the corporate world in 2020, I didn’t have a perfectly mapped-out plan. I knew I wanted to create something aligned with how I wanted to live and the impact I wanted to make. Ignite Your Flow grew from that intention.

Today, I create private and mobile yoga experiences, corporate and workplace wellness programs, retreats, customized group experiences, and community gatherings throughout Greater Orlando, Kissimmee, Reunion, and Central Florida. While the experiences vary, the intention is consistent: helping people develop practical tools to manage stress, reconnect with themselves and others, and show up more intentionally for the life they’re leading and building.

Because I know what it feels like to look like you’re doing fine on the outside while feeling completely disconnected on the inside, my work is about creating space for something different. Not simply helping people feel better for an hour, but giving them practices they can carry into their work, relationships, leadership, and everyday lives.

I don’t want to lose the resilience and resourcefulness I inherited. I want to carry them differently. I’m intentional about building a business and a life where ambition and well-being can coexist, and where success doesn’t require abandoning yourself along the way.

I’m grateful for what was passed down to me, and I’m learning that we get to decide what we carry forward, what we redefine, and what we create for the generations after us. The journey hasn’t been linear, and I’m here for the long game, trusting that meaningful work unfolds with patience, presence, and purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, and I’ve learned to see that as part of the work rather than a detour from it. Some of the biggest challenges have been internal: learning to trust my own timing, stay committed to my vision, and remain grounded when progress feels invisible.

Entrepreneurship has required me to redefine success. I’ve had to navigate uncertainty, make decisions without a clear roadmap, and learn how to grow without burning myself out. There were moments when consistency felt harder than creativity, and patience felt harder than ambition.

I’ve also had to unlearn the idea that growth always requires doing more. There is a difference between being committed to your vision and constantly pushing yourself to prove that it’s working. Learning when to push and when to pause, when to say yes, and when protecting my energy is the more responsible choice has become an important part of how I lead.

What those seasons taught me was discernment. Sustainable growth requires both effort and restraint. Progress doesn’t always look like momentum. Sometimes it looks like staying committed when you can’t see the results yet.

Those challenges have shaped not just my business, but how I lead, how I teach, and how I show up for the work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Ignite Your Flow is a yoga and wellness business rooted in authentic connection, embodied practice, and shared humanity. At its core, I create intentional experiences that help people regulate stress, become more present, respond rather than react, and develop tools that support more peace in how we work, lead, connect, and live.

Ignite Your Flow specializes in private and mobile yoga experiences, corporate and workplace wellness, retreats, customized group experiences, and community gatherings throughout Greater Orlando, Kissimmee, Reunion, and Central Florida. I incorporate yoga, meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation based on the people and environment I’m serving. No two experiences have to look the same because I believe wellness should meet people where they are.

What sets Ignite Your Flow apart is the intention behind the work. I’m not sharing yoga simply as a physical practice or something to perform well. I’m teaching practices that extend beyond the mat, and I’m passionate about what the practice makes possible in someone’s life. Can someone walk away with tools they can actually use when work gets demanding, when life feels overwhelming, or when they notice themselves slipping back into old patterns of constantly pushing through?

I’m most proud that Ignite Your Flow has grown without losing the heart of why I started it. I’ve been intentional about creating both deeply customized private experiences and community gatherings that foster connection and belonging. They may look different, but they come from the same belief that wellness is an individual practice that can positively impact the collective.

I’m also expanding the ways Ignite Your Flow can serve people beyond the traditional yoga experience, including keynote speaking and conversations around burnout, nervous system regulation, sustainable success, and what it means to build a meaningful life without losing yourself in the process. I’m continuing to develop culture-centered community experiences as well, creating spaces where people can see themselves reflected and experience genuine connection and belonging.

What I want readers to know is that Ignite Your Flow isn’t about perfection or productivity. It’s about presence. It’s an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and remember that wellness doesn’t require performing or proving. It simply asks you to show up.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me in a variety of ways, depending on the experience or wellness support they’re seeking. I offer private and small group yoga sessions, mobile yoga experiences, customized wellness experiences for events and organizations, corporate and workplace wellness programming, retreats, and community gatherings throughout Greater Orlando, Kissimmee, Reunion, and Central Florida.

For organizations and teams, I create wellness experiences that go beyond simply adding yoga to the calendar. The goal is to give people practical tools they can use to manage stress, become more present, and navigate the demands of work and life with greater awareness.

Collaboration is something I value deeply. I love partnering with brands, creatives, businesses, and organizations that are aligned with the values of Ignite Your Flow and interested in creating meaningful wellness experiences. Whether that looks like co-hosting an experience, developing wellness programming, or creating a brand partnership, I’m always open to thoughtful collaborations where there’s shared value and intention.

People can also support the work by attending community gatherings, sharing Ignite Your Flow with someone who may benefit from it, or bringing the brand into their workplace, organization, private event, retreat, or group. The community has grown through genuine connection and word of mouth, and I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to engage with and share the work.

At the heart of it, working with me is about building genuine relationships. Whether I’m working with an individual, a private group, a corporate team, or a community, I believe the most impactful wellness experiences are built on trust, presence, and shared intention.
