Hi Jillian, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am beyond excited to live my dream as a Disney Travel Agent. I love everything Disney, from the parks to the movies to the Disney on Ice productions. Disney brings so much magic and fun to my life, allowing me to be a kid again. My favorite memory of Disney is going to the parks for the first time on my fifth birthday. My whole family went, including my best friend and her family. I made my dad ride It’s a Small World repeatedly until he could hear that song repeating in his head. I am now 30 years old, and we still laugh about those moments we shared in the parks, and that is what it is all about. When my husband and I got engaged in 2015, all I was thinking about was when I could go to Disney and get my happily ever after button, and it happened for me in 2016!
Now that I have a child, I love seeing Disney through his eyes. He is obsessed with all the same movies I grew up watching, like Toy Story, Mulan, Monster Inc., and even Pocahontas. When my son turned three in 2021, my husband and I knew we would be at Disney for that magical moment and celebration. I will never forget that look in his eyes seeing that castle in person for the first time, getting him that birthday and first visit button, and the first Mickey waffle we shared at Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom. Watching Enchantment for the first time together as a family of three gave me absolute goosebumps and tears. That is Disney, the joy and love every single family should feel walking into the parks. I became a Disney Travel Agent because every family in the country deserves the most magical vacation without the stress of planning and making all their reservations. Walt Disney said, “You can design, create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” Let me make that a reality for you! I look forward to planning your vacations, meeting all of you, and making magic happen!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Becoming a travel agent with MickeyTravels has mostly been a smooth ride! I have the most amazing travel agent team with continuing training and marketing and customer service education. The hardest part of my job has been building my social media platforms.
