Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaegan Mendenhall.
Hi Kaegan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Mower Shop first opened on November 3rd, 2003 in the very same building we are in today. We are and always have been a family-owned and operated business. My dad, Chuck Mendenhall opened “the shop” as a side hustle, but it has become so much more than that!
There’s been so much growth over the years with many lessons learned along the way! It’s our passion to serve our community and give back as much as possible, We are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do just that!
Hard work pays off and we have a few changes and exciting announcements coming this year… so stay tuned!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not! Running a business is so tough! I’d say the biggest consistent struggle has been finding a trustworthy and engaged team (thankfully we have a pretty solid one right now). Navigating through Covid was also rough with shutdowns, part availability, and inventory shortages.
When it’s tough we just buckle down and remind ourselves why we are here and do what we do! It always works out!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are an outdoor power and lawn equipment business located in East Orlando. We sell and service two-cycle equipment, commercial lawnmowers, generators, and much more!
I’d say what sets us apart is that we truly care! We enjoy meeting new customers and seeing those who have become family. Whether your Mr. JB Davies and his pup who have been coming in for almost 20 years or someone coming in for the first time, we strive to provide the best customer experience possible and help anyone we can!
