Exploring Life & Business with Kai Diaz of Kaizen Chiropractic Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kai Diaz.

Hi Kai , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and obtained my college degree in Science at the University of Puerto Rico. I then studied chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, GA and graduated in 2008. I moved to Orlando and began working as an associate chiropractor until 2016 when I opened my own clinic, Kaizen Chiropractic Solutions, in the heart of the Curry Ford West/Hourglass district. During my time in Orlando I met my wife and we have two boys together, who are 11 and 8 yrs old.

My mission is to provide the highest level of clinical care to my community at affordable and accessible rates. Being Spanish speaking I also cater to the large Hispanic community of Central Florida and seek to provide them healthcare services in the language they are comfortable communicating in and to provide a space they feel heard and listened to.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not. I don’t think any entrepreneurial endeaver is ever smooth. Since opening our doors in 2016 we have dealth with hurricanes (Irma, Ivan) that have forced us to close temporarily. Then COVID in the early 2020’s led to drastic decreases in patient volume. After that legislation passed in the state (Tort reform) that negatively impacted a significant part of our business. And now recent economic factors have led to general increases in the price of supplies and materials we depend on.
Despite these challenges we are grateful to still be part of the wonderful Curry Ford West community. We have a great team on staff and we are extremely proud of the service we have provided over the years. While there will always be challenges with running a business I look forward to a future with slightly less of them!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a chiropractic facility, specializing in care and maintenance of the spine as well as the body as a whole. We approach the body from a perpective that healing comes from within and that by caring for our structure we will improve our function and quality of life. We provide chiropractic care/adjustments of the spine and extremities (shoulders, hands/feet) as well. We have specialized equipment to help with healing and pain reduction such as cold laser, spinal decompression, spinal traction, and electrical muscle stimulation. I think what sets us apart is our office atmosphere and patient care. We strive to create an environment where the patient experience is friendly and casual yet the service is very professional. We are proud of the reputation we have earned over time, as evidenced by our online reviews. Please read some, there are some great stories there!
One thing I would like to share with the readers is that I have never stopped trying to improve my skillset and have spent years, after graduating, learning to deliver the best possible adjustments of the spine and rest of the body through countless seminars. Never stop learning or improving!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Persist! The journey is never easy but we can’t give up. There is no timeline to success and we all have our own roads to go on, complete with the potholes, twists, and turns. We all reach our destination at different times but the journey is where the magic is happening.
