Hi Kay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My name is Kay Williams, owner, and operator of Kay’s Incense of Things, LLC. I have a mobile metaphysical and Holistic business supplying customers and clients with their spiritual needs. I provide cleansing products, incense, soaps, oils, and so much more. Getting started in this spiritual business came about when I started my own healing journey of self-love and self-discovery. After going through the highs and lows of this journey, I quickly knew I wasn’t the only one and I needed to be a person of contact for support along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey is never a smooth one. The course of true love never did go smoothly. Some days you’ll be up in high spirits, most days you’re down and out stuck in depression. Some struggles I’ve faced was often being looked at and called “crazy” from some of the closest people around me. The reality that I’ve always known, crashing and revealing its truth was a depressive episode in itself. Lastly, a struggle was getting people to understand that everything I do or practice is for healing the world. Not cursing or hexing it. What people don’t understand they’ll judge or make fun of it. Staying positive and remaining balanced is the true fight through it all.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kay’s Incense of Things, LLC?
I’m An Intuitive Empath born and raised in Orlando, FL. Growing up in a Trinidadian home, I have always been fascinated with all things spiritual, witchy, astrological, etc. since an early age. After beginning my one of many journeys in 2017, I knew then I was destined to help others. Whether you were already on your journey or just starting out on one, I wanted to help. I read the cards of tarot, I create kits of all kinds for clients, and I offer spiritual guidance and advice to anyone willing to know.
What sets me and my business apart from others is that I’m A local black woman-owned spirituality business, providing customers with their spiritual stoner needs. I have a variety of products including but not limited to, incense, sage, smudging bundles, candles, oils, and so much more. I am most proud in creating “Stoner Kits” & “Spirit Kits” which are custom gift baskets tailored to my client’s needs. My tarot services are life-changing and so motivating. Just hearing or seeing the reaction from my clients alone brightens up my day. I love being of service.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m a master of a few other trades. I wouldn’t say a Jack of all trades because a person like that doesn’t take the time out to learn things into full detail. I also have and run a few other businesses as well. Aside from being a mother, I have a treats and baking business, I am a co-owner of a food stand, and I’m also a personal assistant. So, if you didn’t know, you now know that I’m a very busy person.
