Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren LaBrie.
Hi Lauren , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From high school years my dream was to plan events & work in hospitality— after college I worked multiple types of jobs. I slowly started getting into community events & planned my friends family & my own wedding & special occasions
As I entered my 30s I decided I wanted to work for myself & be my own boss
I created Anchored Marketing & my business began—I take on clients & events through referrals & whatever interests me. I have also volunteered and donated my time to non profits benefitting animals & children.
My other business is Dog Mom Pet services — I pet sit animals of all kinds. I have created 2 business’s that bring me much joy — parties & puppies !
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My early years building my career were not easy — it took all of my 20s to figure out what I wanted to do & what wasn’t working
I learned I am not built to sit at a desk, Monday – Friday 9-5
I like the freedom to choose my hours & be my own boss
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Anchored Marketing :
Social media & brand promotion. I become an ambassador for your business –
Your biggest cheer leader. I connect your brand with others to help grow your business through collaboration & referrals
Dog Mom Pet Services: pet sitting & dog walking. Going above and beyond for your pets in the comfort of their home
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I enjoy solitude and working alone as a solo pet sitter — I do not have a staff.
I love to be social & go to events in the community but day to day I can be happy spending time with my pet clients
