Exploring Life & Business with Maria-Cristina Valencia of RES Real Estate Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria-Cristina Valencia.

Hi Maria-Cristina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in real estate back in 2004 since being a single mother thought it was a great career that will help me to provide for my son and have a flexible schedule to take care of him. Soon after, I became Century 21 Recruiting and Training Director. In 2008 I got my Broker’s license and since February of 2015, I have managing my own firm with an average of 45-50 agents.

In 2020, I founded the Movement: “Saving a LIfe One Closing at a Time”. With each transaction, we donate from our commission, on behalf of our clients to Heartbeat of Miami, organization that has saved the life of over 55ooo babies in South Florida. Our clients not only get the best and most professional service in real estate, but they become heroes by saving a baby’s life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest struggle was for sure the 2007-2009 crisis. Many real estate brokerage firms closed and hundreds of agents stopped working in the field. I am glad I was not only able to survive the crisis but to learn from it. It certainly helps me to understand better the real estate cycles, pros and cons of investing, risk management, etc. That leads me to be an International Real Estate consultant.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about RES Real Estate Solutions LLC?
We do mostly residential transactions in South Florida and Central Florida. My agents are multi-cultural, amongst us we speak seven different languages.

What definitely sets us apart is the fact that we are a firm oriented to give back to the community. Our Movement: “Saving a Life One Closing at a Time”. is the first in the Nation and now more agents, brokers and real estate professionals and joining this movement. We will be making an impact and changing our city for the better.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Going back to the traditional ways, people need “personal” interaction.
