Today we’d like to introduce you to Meili Viera Porter.
Hi Meili, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Cuba; I came to this country when I was 7 years old. My parents always taught me that having faith in God and myself, consistency in my actions, hard work, serving others, and honesty would get me wherever I wanted to go. In 2003, we moved from Miami to the West Coast of Florida, and in 2005, I began my real estate career at 17 years old. I quickly became fascinated by the real estate industry! I worked for a family-owned brokerage, mother and daughter team, and had an outstanding mentorship for close to 7 years. At the end of 2011, I moved to Brevard County while I was finalizing my MBA. I always knew I would be a CEO; I didn’t know where I belonged, yet still finding my way! In 2012, I began working for a commercial developer and dove into commercial. An industry that men heavily dominated. The developer took me on to stop his vacancies in his Publix centers. After a couple of years, I took his centers on the east coast of Florida from high vacancy rates to over 95% occupancy. Being part of so many small and national businesses’ journeys and transitions into newer markets was fascinating. In 2015, I dove back into residential investments while continuing to work in the commercial space and positioned myself as a true multi-faceted broker!
In 2017, I decided to go after my Broker license and, later in the year, decided I wanted to return to school to obtain a Master’s in Real Estate development. To truly exemplify being a master of my craft, I needed to understand the different avenues of development and investments in the real estate industry. In 2019, I graduated and opened my branch of Waterman Real Estate as founder of the MVP Sales Group. As of today, my group and I have been able to attain being in the top 25 agents/brokerages within Brevard County, and we have truly excelled at serving families and local business owners. We thrive at guiding our customers to meet and conquer their real estate milestones. On a personal level, I am devoted to my family! My husband and I have been married for 5 years; I am a bonus momma to a fantastic 16-year-old, a new mama to my 2-year-old son Asher, and a pup mom to Coco! Our time off is spent enjoying time in our home, visiting family, volunteering, or house hunting!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There’s no such thing as a smooth road 😅. I am learning the language and culture as a young girl and balancing working full time with going to school full time and entering a heavily dominated male field with working commercial and navigating pressures within opening a business and being an entrepreneur and balancing opening a business and attending school full time for my second masters.

I specialize in the Real Estate Industry. I am a multi-faceted broker. My company focuses on serving others and providing superior customer service.
