Exploring Life & Business with Molly Polson, Realtor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Molly Polson.

Hi Molly, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to introduce yourself.
I was adopted from South Korea when I was 8 months old. I grew up in Nebraska, one of six kids. Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher – I’ve always enjoyed helping people. I moved to Orlando in 2010 and decided being in a classroom teaching wasn’t my thing. I had various sales positions – recruiting for colleges and technology recruiting. In 2017 I decided to get my real estate license for vacation sales (timeshare). I did that for about 3 years and loved it. In 2020 I made the transition to residential real estate. At first, I thought it would be a side hustle, something to do on the weekends. But within 6 months, I’d transitioned to full-time real estate. Part of the reason I transitioned was because of my kids. I have three kids, 8, 7, and 10 months. They are why Real estate allows me to work from home, make my own schedule, and be completely present at home for my family. I get to fit work where it does in my life but still make a six-figure income and have professional satisfaction. Being a realtor, I help people and families every day! I’m helping them accomplish goals, establish homes, and create wealth. But I also get to have professional satisfaction and accomplishment. And I get to meet and work with amazing people.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenging road. There were many years of going through different sales positions and feeling like it needed to be a better fit. The most difficult was when my two children were so little and being away from them almost all their waking hours, 10+ hours a day to go to work. I always knew that wasn’t my calling. I always knew I wanted to be more present with and for them. But I’ve always had a desire for professional accomplishment as well. Realizing in 2020 that I could have both through being a realtor was highly monumental to me personally and professionally. Real estate will always have struggles along the way. As the market shifts over time, being adaptable and learning along the way is so important.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Molly Polson, Realtor Keller Williams at the Lakes Livian Orlando Team. I specialize in residential real estate—buying and selling of homes. What sets me apart from other realtors is that I treat all my clients as my own family. I negotiate deals for my client’s best interest! Getting to know each client and what is important to them makes me successful at bringing each family to the closing table. I am very proud of how happy and satisfied each of my clients is.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
My most important lesson is that hard work will outshine and outlast!

  • Hard work to adapt as the market shifts
  • Hard work to find the right home for my client
  • Hard work to negotiate
  • Hard work to care for my clients
  • Hard work to continue to be in a position to continue to learn and grow in this industry
