Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathalie Marichal.
Hi Nathalie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
About six years I began my formulating skincare products for my sensitive, reactive and acne-prone skin. I felt incredibly frustrated with the products I would find at the store as they weren’t offering the results I was looking for. After researching skincare formulation and the ingredients used, I was shocked at what I was applying to my skin. So many known skin irritants and probable cancer-causing ingredients are found in many skin care products and I knew that from that day on I would never use another store-bought skincare product.
I had no intention on selling my skincare creations until a friend of mine began using one of my first formulations for her eczema. She had been seeing a dermatologist for years and had tried many creams and medications but had not had any results. One day when I was formulating, she asked to try the product I was making and a couple of days later, called me to tell me she needed more as her eczema was improving. When she went to see her dermatologist, she was so shocked by the results that she wanted to personally speak to me. After my chat with her dermatologist, I was even more determined to formulate natural skin care products and grow my line. Flash forward to now and I have a beautiful skincare line for most skin types and concerns.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh my has it been a long and bumpy road. Building a business from the ground up is incredibly challenging and it requires patience, perseverance and having a strong vision. My most challenging obstacle has been getting exposure and gaining new customers.

Nathalie Marie Skin is a luxurious, organic skincare brand that incorporates the tropical goodness of Cuba into each skincare product. Ingredients such as Papaya, Cacao, Honey and Moringa are plants that are native Cuba and are found abundantly in our skincare line. We are infusing the science of skincare with the tropical abundance of Cuba and its rich history. We specialize in acne-prone skin, sun-damaged skin, dry skin and hyperpigmentation.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My most important advice for those starting out is to just start. I spent years second-guessing myself and wanting everything to be perfect but that left me stuck and frustrated. Nothing will ever be perfect so just start and evolve as you grow!
